For $150 USD, these will probably hit clearance.

Where is the Dinobots set and Trypticon set going to be available at for US retail?

Trypticon was confirmed for Target (Canada has no sign of it either) and I think the dinobots should be TRU for you guys too.

Yeah but clearance for 150$ would stil be quite a bit. Like that YOTG Soundwave. No matter how low the percentage goes, it will still be way more than most of us are willing to pay.

I'm more worried about Perceptor and Blaster. They should be out by now but the Star Wars stuff took over a fourth of the boys action figures section at Target. Hopefully the gender neutral organization will give some space back to Transformers once it goes into effect.

They have been released at Target online and you get free shipping:
https://goto.target.com/c/1137247/81938/2092?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.target.com%2Fp%2Ftransformers-preceptor-and-blaster%2F-%2FA-17077093
So I guess this big target logo was just a typo

Yes, it was. The post from Hasbro on Twitter was to correct that.

Well the Platinum Edition range have been available in the UK for a wee while now! even at physical stores like A1 Toys(you can always check their website) although in store...they no longer have Trypticon! they did have him in at first, but it's just the rest that are sitting there now.... shelfwarming

Platinum prices are absurd. I can understand SOME mark-up. But DOUBLING the price it should normally sell for? Come on.

Agreed! those figures are just not worth the prices your paying! because those figures are usually made out of cheap feeling, thin, stress-easy plastic, limited articulation, as well as maybe other faults! it just cannot justify the prices you have to pay for it.
Here's an example

Does anyone know why they're still calling these guys Slog and Strafe? (I know why they use Slug now) Aren't these supposed to be the G1 guys? Are they trying to keep some link to AOE for newbies?

Has the pricepoint for US been officially confirmed or just an estimate?

I don't know about the trademark situation with "Sludge" and "Swoop", but Hasbro does have a penchant for reusing names as much as possible for the same figures not only for instant recognition, but also to avoid having to register new ones for "just a few" toys. They're like redecos in that sense
And those are the ones I really want, all for new heads. I'm curious, how much is the original SDCC set going for on the aftermarket, as well as G1 deco Slog?

So, 200 British Pounds for Trypicon mean... 397$CAN or 304.62$US!!!
Holy smokes this is insane! Fortmax is way more worth it than that and he's way less expansive!!!
