Check out this exclusive look at the new season, "Transformers: Robots in Disguise," the Transformers cartoon series.
The new season from Hasbro Productions puts Autobot against Autobot as Optimus Prime's authority. The Decepticons and Steeljaw are back. For those of you unaware of who or what Steeljaw is, he's the Transformer who also sort of looks like a wolf puppy.
Now, Bumblebee has to form his own group of hero robot aliens (called Team Bee) made up of Grimlock, Sideswipe, Strongarm, Fixit, Windblade and Drift.
Also in the mix is a Dinobot. The new season will premiere Feb. 20.

Is it just me or does this season seem like it's going to be darker than the first season? I'm really excited to see all the new decepticons this season has to offer.

Who is that at 1:00?
The half-track below Windblade. Looks like a Blizzard Strike version of Perceptor.

Does anyone know who the female red villain/decepticon is? I think it could either be there version of aoe stinger or widow maker.

Aside from Overload, Crazybolt, and Scorponok (all other Cons in this video with known names were in season 1 and aren't new).

This is hardly dark it's just slightly more serious.
Honestly do people actually know the definition of dark anymore?

Well, the Energon cartoon was "dark" but that's a whole different animal right there.Deadput wrote:steals_your_goats wrote:Is it just me or does this season seem like it's going to be darker than the first season? I'm really excited to see all the new decepticons this season has to offer.

The story evolves much more in season 2 which is a good thing and so it seems to be darker but it's just like Deadput said more serious.

I'm all in for Season 2. The good news is that most Decepticons, especially Quillfire, Springload, Bisk, Thunderhoof, Razorpaw, Kickback, and many others are returning. This is the opportunity where both Quillfire and Thunderhoof will get their chances to use their weapons as shown on the toys. The bad news is that where is Terrashock, Hammerstrike, Filch, Malador, Vertebreak, Nightstrike, Octopunch, Zizza, and Pseudo all along? Will these guy remained locked up for life, or that they will return later on during the Season?
As for the female Decepticon in the screenshot, I recently noticed that the two circles below her trunks are believed to be wheels. Does that mean she has a vehicle form, or she is just like Chop Shop, Filch, Zizza. Scorponok, and formely Grimlock?
As for Hasbro who just recently made a One-Step Bisk toy, I just want to say good for them. I'm all in, now. All we need right now is for them to make him into a Warrrior toy following his One-Step self. Bring it on, Hasbro!

I don't think we'll be getting any Prime characters like they said we would in season 2.

Though, Ratchet's getting a couple of new toys, so he might be a possibility.

I think that was just people speculating based on those guys' appearing in the comics, rather than something confirmed.Randomhero wrote:I don't think we'll be getting any Prime characters like they said we would in season 2.

I mean, I'd like to see that happen and wouldn't be too surprised, but am not actively expecting it.

There's a line about it on the tfwiki page for the show, but the cited page doesn't seem to mention anything about returning Prime characters. Hm. (Edit: removed said line from wiki until an accurate citation's found.)Sabrblade wrote:I think that was just people speculating based on those guys' appearing in the comics, rather than something confirmed.Randomhero wrote:I don't think we'll be getting any Prime characters like they said we would in season 2.

I think we'll see prime characters, just later in the season, probably.
Looks like this season is going to be pretty good, I want toys of all those new decepticons! (and all the old ones we didn't get) Can't wait till the 20th!
Might the new female decepticon in the first image be Antagony? Looks like she's some kind of insect or something.

I swear someone who worked on the show said something like if it got a second season that Prime characters COULD return.
I doubt they would return to join Bee's squad but more like what Jazz did in season 1 to show up and then leave for an episode or 2.
If I remember it was in an interview.

I'm in for season 2. I love the looks of things and some cons (though maybe not all by the looks of it?) are getting out. Sweet! Looks like the fight is about to actually evolve

For those who say that season 2 will be darker in tone, I highly doubt the writers would go that route since this is a children's show. It will just have its serious moments.
Turning the show from light to dark may lose the young audiences.

Even Rescue Bots went dark and grim for its season 1 finale as well.
But, yeah, I agree in not seeing this show go the way of TF: Prime (which was also a children's show, btw) by becoming dark. More serious, yeah maybe, but not dark. The trailer just has a lot of nighttime scenes.

Well, they kinda already went that route for the show's season 1 finale. Then it's not dark.
There are no shades of dark it's either dark or it's not.

Unless Prime and, at random, Game of Thrones are equivalent in tone, I'd say that there are definitely shades of dark.Deadput wrote:Stuartmaximus wrote:
