Transformers Universe website launches

Leading independent games studio Jagex today announced the launch of its all new Transformers Universe website in preparation for the next stage of the free-to-play MMO’s release.

As well as featuring an entire redesign, the addition of forums and a news feed for all things Transformers Universe, the website will be the new and improved hub for the game’s BETA when it goes live in early 2013.

Tim Hodges, Transformers Universe Brand Director commented “We are delighted to be entering the next phase of our launch plans for Transformers Universe and we hope that players enjoy using this new hub for all the latest Transformer Universe news and information. That's good, thought I was going a bit crazy. It's weird though, I know there's a disclosure agreement, but I thought we'd hear from someone!

The newly launched Transformers Universe website has posted a trio of new screenshots. Closed beta testing is now underway.

We first heard about an MMO game in March of 2011, maybe earlier. Thursday, June 2nd, 2011 was when it was revealed as "Transformers: Universe."

The thing is, I dont play video games. So I probally passed any stories on this thinking it was related to WFC/FOC. There was a point where every day we were getting a new image of Bruticus or Metroplex and I stopped reading stories about games.

I'll still happily try out the beta, but the fact that it's a League of Legends clone and not an MMORPG irritates me. Maybe I'll feel less bitter about it once I've tried it, still, was looking forward to making my own character.
