Hilarious review, I cannot wait for your review of the much more garish G2 Menasor - especially under black light

I only got about 2 minutes in before I stopped watching. I realized the "review" was going to be more about the reviewer's shtick and gimmicks than about the actual toys.

Death Reviews manage to be both entertaining and informative. Bravo!
I'm a little worried that the fist broke off, but are there any signs that the plastic is otherwise weaker than on the regular release? Maybe it was just a fluke.
Also, personal nitpick, these are not "repaints'. They are "redecos". The color of plastic they are molded in is not paint.

I picked these guys up earlier this month on a business trip to Canada. I've had no problems at all and they all seem just as sturdy as the originals. The colors are fantastic. The shoulder joint that moves down in jet mode on Skydive is incredibly tight on my G1 version, to the point I was afraid it would break. On the G2 version it seems more normal.

Would it be too much to ask for a picture with Trailbreaker and Smokescreen as arms, Wheeljack and Hound as the legs (as that's how I'll be displaying him), and with the swords combined?
Also, are the legs and torso as loose on yours as they were on Chefatron's?
EDIT: And he does look awesome, especially with the PE hands and feet.

A fair criticism, foul mortal
Normally I spend more time doing stuff like going over the individual transformation steps. But I deemed it unnecessary this time since there is a glut of reviews for each aerialbot figure (due to them being out and reviewed in their G1 formats quite extensively).
So I focused on what I thought were the important aspects of this set. The paint jobs, the overall appearance, the features, strengths and weaknesses of the set in general.
The G2 Aerealbot set puts reviewers in a bit of a fix. If you spend too much time going over all that stuff that has already been reviewed to death (me), then they say it was boring. If you don't, then they say the review 'wasn't about the toys'. Given the choice, I didn't want anyone to accuse Death of being boring
As to the snapped hand, I suppose the plastic for Silverbolt did have a different 'feel' to it than the normal G1 version. The plastic felt somehow 'softer', like it had been diluted, just a little. It may only have been the one that I got, but the plastic on those hands simply had a greasier feel to them than on Cyclonus or Silverbolt G1. You know that feel - the kind that you get with plastic of lesser quality. Maybe it had too much 90s paint mixed into it or something.
It is fair to warn anyone who has the G2 box set to 'test' their silver bolt figures' hands before tilting them back for the change to Superion's torso. With mine, the metal pin that forms the hinge seemed to somehow only allow rotation on one side of the plastic hand. So when I tried to swivel it, only one half would rotate, and that stressed the other side to the point where the hand broke off completely. So be careful, mortals!

How well does your Hound hold together? Apparently Swindle might have some issues, and if those problems are apparent in Hound, as well, that might be quite telling.

Another thing I noticed between G1 and G2 Superion, at least on mine, is that the antennas on G2 Superion's head move into place much easier than G1 Superion's.

I just got the G2 Superion last week as well. I am leaving it unopened for now, but I too, like the Death toy review, was a bit surprised at how light in weight the box was overall. I am hoping to get UW-01 Superion soon. I wonder if there will be any significant weight difference, (if Takara uses heavier material for packaging?) even though the G2 one has a 6th figure.

Well observed - the plastic itself on the figures is a different color, not just the paint. I'll remember that (foul mortal)... I take refuge in that there was, in fact, different paint on them as well, so 'repaint' is still technically correct...

He had not posted them for all members when you sent them and you knew that. We never got word hat he had completed the set (if he even has) and Death sent us his full review which covered all members. If Bridgemagnet Toys wanted his newsed he should have:
1. finished them all
2. told us about it

I agree with comments above.
While it is a cute and funny concept, the video quickly derails into comedy material with fake commercial, etc. Maybe by putting some of that material at the end or cutting it down it might flow better (?) End scene with the Loony Toons style credits was the funniest to me. Props for some grins there. I also enjoyed the vintage commercials (and had never seen the terrible G2 ones.) I'd have just appreciated those un-altered. Quite interesting.
Hearing the negative talk about the color scheme, I think the reviewer misses the point that the set is directly aimed at the niche fans who lived through the 1990s and G2... people who want to relive that day-glow magic without breaking their gold plastic Slingshot into pieces. For those fans, the wild color scheme really strikes a chord and brings back great memories... not to mention the set will display really well with G2 redux offerings from Botcon and Masterpiece (G2 Bee and Sideswipe)
Lastly, the reviewer does address articulation, paint apps, and quality control issues. Glad all that is in there. I expect that of any action figure these days. (I also like some comparisons with current line and vintage figures, though I know that's not always possible.)
Really glad Hasbro is cranking these out. They are clearly paying attention to both old G1 fans, and younger fans who got their start in the 1990s. I really appreciate that. Props to Hasbro.

It's true the other reviews were out first - full props to them for their hard work. In fact I saw them at a rival TF related website (which I won't name). It was for that very reason that I didn't send any official emails to seibertron saying 'hey, please headline my review'. I simply posted the link to my youtube channel (which everyone should subscribe to, by the way
) in the seibertron forums along with everyone else's. So even though I am Death, I neither requested, nor received any special treatment. The good people at Seibertron did nothing out of malice or favoritism, and as such I shall delay any personal visits to their offices
PS: I wouldn't say I missed the niche that the G2 Aerialbots fall into. I thought I zinged them rather shrewdly
They got 8 deaths up in the end. Besides, I'm Death - I don't 'miss'...

I told you that he had finished all of them before DR even posted his. He did his review of Silverbolt last. Seems when I notify people of something like that, I lot of times people do not notice, and it goes down the past comments drain. I do not have any malice towards anyone here, I just think it's only fair to include Bridgemagnet Toys' reviews too in the news post.

DeathReviews- Just watched a few of your toy reviews. As the Tick would say- "Fun and Educational!" -I was just curious -in your review of Legends Shockwave, you state he is designed to work with CW Bruticus (which I know is correct)...However you state because Bruticus has no other Big Gun? ----I have not seen CW Onslaught yet.... But I would assume he would come with a Big Gun in the fashion that G1 Bruticus did?... I know a few folks out there have CW Onslaught....any comments are welcome. Thank you.

What notice? The only email we (news staff) received had links for 5 of the 6 aerialbots and Superion. It was decided that we wouldn't news it until he released the last video, and, by notify, you mean a random comment left somewhere in the thread, you'll have to do better than that, it should have been sent to us as news. I checked his channel all day on the day we got the email - 'til 1 in the morning in fact, in case he got it up late. I'm sure by the time he did get it up we had already moved on to covering the news that needed to be dealt with at that point, please stop taking this personally
