One-Step changers are here to stay, I know many of you don't want to hear that but it's true. Fortunately Hasbro keeps finding different and fun ways for vehicles to turn into robots, or robotic animals as is the case with Springload and Quillfire. I'm a little disappointed that Hasbro didn't use a push button, spring transformation on Springload; that was a missed opportunity. With that said both make for fun desk toys and are perfect for the younger fans in your life.

Quillfire is pretty cool, though I'm waiting for the warrior. This Springload however, is really cool and very unique and it shall be mine!

I'm now glad that Springload finally does get a toy. So far he is only available as a One-Step figure. In vehicle mode, he is supposed to be a pickup truck that resembles a 1960s Ford Bronco, but somehow Hasbro remolded his vehicle mode into some type of a muscle car. Is his vehicle mode is actually a pickup truck that resembles a muscle car? Or only for this version? I believe that if they have a Warrior-version of him, perhaps they will make him have a pickup truck vehicle mode that looks just like the one in the cartoon. What are your thoughts on that?

Yes, I am pretty certain the choice for the alt mode was for something that would work best with the animal mode. If he had a warrior class toy, it would make sense that they try to make him be a pickup like he is on the show.

Springload's truck is a generic, unlicensed one to avoid the legalities surrounding vehicle licensing issues. Any resemblances to any real licensed truck models should note be taken at face value, and should instead only be viewed as Springload's altmode sharing in the common design attributes of being a truck. Not any specific truck, but just "a truck".
After all, the RID toys all use unlicensed vehicle mode designs anyway. This isn't the movies we're talking about here.

I wish they would have done the button on top for the spring transformation. Imagine him going from dune buggy truck mode to RIBBIT!! Beast Frog of terror mode!

Coming once again from fellow Seibertronian chuckdawg1999 We have a new review, this time of the little legions crab guy we all love and know of as: Clampdown! This is the first toy of Clampdown that we have gotten and Chuck goes into nice detail talking about how this guy stands up to several others and just how interesting he really is. Enjoy the video below, and stay tuned for more reviews of Robots In Disguise to come!

Sculpted crab claws, nice! I was worried they'd consider the back half of the car "close enough." Would be super if they were articulated, and if his arms were colored like the rest of the vehicle, and if he could somehow defy gravity and stand on those two legs... but overall Clampdown looks amazing.

These are commander class. Not sure why they call is a minicon 4-pack. Wouldnt these be 2 packs since each gives you 2 toys? Also, that price is wack, each comes out to the price of a deluxe.

Yeah, really not feeling the prices here. That's bogus. That's literally making it $11 commanders and $6 minicons. Yeah no. Look cool, but that is just expensive

The problem here is that the people at Entertainment Earth are idiots and uploaded the wrong photos. The price listed is for 2 4-packs of minicons, totaling 8 minicons for 33.99, which is actually a bit cheaper than the individuals price of about $5 each. The photos shown are clearly the 2-packs which have been seen earlier, which I imagine will actually retail for about $10 each (give or take a buck or two).

Oh dear, these kinds of 2-packs have always done disastrously bad at my stores. PCCs, HA Basics, Data Discs... lucky to see anything past Wave 1 (Data Discs shelfwarmed so long the packaging fell apart). Stores didn't even bother trying with the Legends+Targetmasters for the longest time. And they really expect another $5+ to the price will help matters?
