There is a new star over the homeworld of the Transformers. It is a ball of supra-hot gas that was once Unicron, the chaos-bringer and arch-foe of the Transformers. But a great victory is always won at great cost and this is no exception. Primus, the Transformers' creator, is dead, as are hundreds of his Autobot and Decepticon children. Optimus Prime, leader of the mechanoid army, is dying, while the planet itself is devastated and starting to tear itself apart. In an equally fragile state is the Autobot/Decepticon alliance. Will the destruction of Unicron herald a new era of peace and prosperity for the Transformers? And what is it that is skittering hungrily in the shadows of Cybertron's devastated landscape?
