Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

This has happened to me before. Also had a TF with two left hips. Leaving him untransformable. At least Prime can still transform.

Please use the right currency as to not scare us all. It was 299$ Singaporean, which is 225$ USD. That means the ballpark figure for the US will be 200$ which makes perfect sense for a set that has 3 deluxes, a voyager and a leader.

You and I have a different definition of perfect sense. I don't consider this set worth a dime over $140, going off of regular prices for those sizes. I've found the platinum line to be nothing more than Hasbro's way of milking money from gullible collectors. Sometimes the clearance pricing us reasonable, though.

We are saying the same things actually, I meant it makes perfect sense... for a platinum setIf a pack of 3 deluxes is around 100$, a leader and a voyager added to that would be another hundred

Overquoting to say that for the one who is a new TF collector or one who entirely missed the ball, this set is a WAY better option than having to buy each separately from Ebay at the inflated secondary market prices, with individual shipping.
Kurona wrote:Perhaps... but as I see it, the argument is moreso that the Platinum sets shouldn't cost this much in the first place.

I can agree that the prices are getting out of hands. However, I could say the Masterpeice too. but you know when these spacial toys come out at a reasonable price, the scalpers get all over them like hienas on a wounded calf.
So, for BOTH the Platinums and Masterpieces, starting at the ridiculous high price give a chance to everyone to own one. This is the silver lining.

Inflated? Hardly. The hardest to get of those figures is probably Blurr, maybe Kup.
Everything else is pretty readily available from several online retailers still at close to MSRP.
BBTS has Arcee on for $24.99. And for around $16 if you buy her with Chromia.
Springer is going for $22.99, under Voyager MSRP.
You can get most of those for close to or even under retail price without resorting to E-Bay.
and even on E-Bay Kup is going for $20.00 bucks.
The only thing you are paying for with this set is the nice metallic Paint job. $50 bucks worth of Paintjob is a little excessive.
meh, that's a Canadian problem.-Kanrabat- wrote:Overcracker wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:

You left shipping out of the equation. Shipping ofthen DOUBLE the price of the figure, especially if you are stuck buying from different sellers. And don't get me started on the random custom fees.

Both of which you'll need to pay for this, making it even more expensive.

william-james88 wrote:Would you mind posting this in both the Steal of a Deal thread and the UK Sightings thread? This is amazing news for you brits. I would jump on that megs and optimus set if one of you doesnt have the molds yet.
