Beast Wars Megatron. The only Megatron that could beat him is Cybertron (IMO)

Beast Wars. He is a serious tactician, while Armada Megatron is a joke (I didn't even know WTF was happening during the Unicron battles - a giant, moon-sized Unicron battled the minicons, killed Starscream, and only then did AM consider the truce with the autobots)

Also, in Beast Wars, the predacons used everything in their advantage, while in Armada every bot and con were literal sitting ducks even when there were lots of mountains/rocks to use as hiding places.

Beast Wars Megatron in his first form could take down Armada Megatron. Upgrading to Transmetal or Transmetal 2 would be overkill (especially Transmetal 2).

I'm referring to the toy tech specs here:

AM has a Minicon, making him a lot stronger. If he can acquire a few more, he's virtually unstoppable. BWM can't match that.

BWM has 'paralyzing fluids' (unspecified) that may neutralise AM's greater strength and make him helpless for a short time.

AM should be able to kill BWM with one well-placed cannon shell.

BWM would do serious damage if he could catch AM in his T. Rex jaws or his crushing claw (robot mode).

Although both are almost equal in the tech specs, it seems clear that BWM is nimbler than AM due to his more rounded beast form. That might give BWM an edge. However, if he can't exploit that edge then AM could overpower him eventually.

I suspect that BWM would be willing to do a deal to avoid fighting AM. If BWM could sniff out some Minicons for AM with his superior T. Rex nose (and other methods), he could escape conflict with AM.
