Hi everybody!

I just love a really complicated masterpiece or a very smart Transformers design in general.

All my old toys are totally limb because I was so fascinated by the transformations , and when the Masterpiece line started I couldn't believe my luck. The engineering just gets more and more interesting every day. So I decided I wanted to do something with that interest/obsession and I launched a Youtube channel, named Cophonz (which is a combination of my 2 middle names) where I transform and showcase the Transformers as clearly as possible.

I skip no step, make it as insightful as possible, and edit it to keep up the pace. I also intentionally let the mechanical and ratcheting sounds in it for the sake of getting a good feel of the toy. I add some detailed shots, some comparisons and some(hopefully) interesting tunes in the background. It's kind of informative and relaxing at the same time!

Anyway, I love making the video's and aim to make one every week, and keep improving them. If you think: sounds interesting, You are welcome to visit my channel anytime and comment, share, and subscribe. That would really help me take off.

For this topic I have a few questions:
Which Transformers do you think have awesome transformations? In general, or for me to do.
Can these vids be classified as reviews? What more do you need to know for buy or no buy:)?

Uploaded a bitesize vid for the weekend: Animated Rodimus, aka Hot Rod! This is the Takara Tomy version. I like this little figure, because it's a very sleek car mode and a robot mode with no kibble at all .

Next up: MP-47 Hound!

This one feels so accurate to the old G1 show and has some pretty smart transformation parts. I love it how his head and upper arms are part of the engine for example.

I added more footage of both alt and robot mode, with accessories etc., so it's slowly evolving in a wordless review. What do you think?

Alright, back to serious business!:)

This tiny Newage Transformer Lucifer aka Starscream is together with Maketoys' version in my opinion the best reproduction of the G1 cartoon Starscream. And it has some pretty smart parts in the transformation, I especially like the no kibble legs. Do you agree?

Because of the recent reissue of MP-39 Sunstreaker, my take on this figure. Very articulated and has quite some smart transformation parts. As an added bonus I incorporated his ancestor from 1984!
And what do you think, can you consider these video's reviews or not? Are they more homages to these awesome figures? I'm on the fence myself:). Anyway, Enjoy!

Well, a bit of an odd one here. More of a comparisson, between one of the most recent Optimus Prime figures and the Optimus Prime that started it all. The Cyberverse one is my son's very first Transformer, the beat up G1 is actually my first Transformer! Times are changing, but there's one certainty in life: the essence of an Optimus Prime transformation:)

You know what? I feel that deluxe Megatron from the same line would actually be a good fit for your show. Its a pretty darn complex toy.

Yeah, the legs on this guy are really interesting

I guess it was time for the cutest Autobot of them all: Masterpiece version 2 of little G1 Bumblebee. I had mixed feelings about the transformation of this figure, but in the course of preparing for this video, I actually really started to like the transformation a lot more. When you do certain little things the instructions don't tell you, the transformation gets a bit more intuitive, like folding the shoulders up all the way. And the result? A spot on G1 cartoon Bumblebee exactly how I wished the original toy looked like:). I don't even have problems anymore with the 'backpack', because it clicks together rather tightly when done properly. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy my little take on G1 MP Bumblebee!

Here's my short take on this neat little (and heavy!) figure. Fans Toys' Dunerunner is a MP style Beachcomber. I love the clean look and how the security cage is folded into his torso. Very sturdy, very poseable. Enjoy!
