Mood? Do you mean mold? (I am very tired, not trying to be confrontational - just confused!)

I think this is kewl, and I will be getting it. It think that female representative characters have long been untapped, which is also leaving the some of the female market untapped. Hopefully this influx of new female characters will help push the fiction and canon in a new direction?? That could be fun!

Yes, I meant mold. I also had to retype that twice, as my stupid phone kept wanting to change it.

Not sure if it's wise of me to dive into this subject given the PC powder keg it's become, but YOLO.
Here are my choices:
Voyager
The Hot Spot mold (Pyra Magna, was it?) can remain in the team, as the mold does evoke subtle feminine proportions--the limbs are sleek and the torso isn't bodybuilder massive like CW OP/Motormaster.
Limbs
Dragstrip (arm)
Alpha Bravo (arm) - Already part of the team, so no real complaints from me there.
Rook x 2 (legs) - Every team needs some muscle, and the Rook mold is certainly bulky enough to fit the bill. Maybe make them a pair of bickering twins, with different head sculpts and reverse paint schemes to differentiate the 2.

The only protectobot option available at the time was hotspot and groove, which was why rook was still a surprise by the time NY Toy fair rolled around, that goes for swindle too. You can say that ideally that was what you wanted, but hasbro was only allowing the aerialbots and stunticons at the time, along with hotspot/groove.

Yeah, true.
Thing is, Ironhidensh just asked what would have been better choices. I might have given a different answer if he had specifically asked what you would have chosen during the polls, which precludes the Rook mold.
But for the sake of discussion, instead of Rook, maybe one of the Aerialbots instead.

Hellscream9999 wrote:Yeah, not trying to trample discussion, I realize that I may not have been as definitive of the two camps in my reply (mold during the poll vs. which molds in general) so, my apologies.
Hellscream9999 wrote:I personally really like the deadend mold as being semi-feminine, it has slightly curved thighs, a decent enough hourglass shape and the new bust is noticeable enough to evoke the female form. I always thought that skydive was super feminine, just from the face and sleek arms, and breakdown had the ground clearance to actually utilize a larger bust better than any of the chosen molds. I also think brawl would have been cool to have been used as a fem-bot, I imagine she could've been something like Tex from RvB, that would have been a party

Skydive is certainly one of the more androgynous "male" bots in the CW line--yeah, he'd make a pretty good candidate for a Victorion limb, especially as a leg.
As for Breakdown...I dunno, his limbs are somewhat bulky. I mean, unless you make him the "muscle" of the team like Strongarm in RID (which I really need to set some time aside to watch).
To be perfectly honest, I'm not really particular about whether the bots have boobs molded on them. What matters more to me is the general silhouette/proportions. I don't mind a flat-chested fembot as long as the proportions and face are unmistakeably feminine in the "orthodox" sense (i.e, relatively narrow shoulders and torso and wider hips).
Standard Disclaimer (not aimed at you, Hellscream, or anyone in particular): I'm aware that humans of both genders come in various shapes and sizes, but as a personal preference, I prefer more idealized proportions on my fictional robots. I DO NOT discriminate against actual people who do not meet these physical ideals.

Sorry meant offroad had enough ground clearance for a larger bust, sorry, plus he also has the most defined hourglass shape. But I do like the remolded forearms of the victorion breakdown remold, I was genuinely surprised how much I liked them.
I agree about the busts, but some of them were bound to have some, but the cars' chestplates are so complicated, clearance-wise, having to fit around the head and under the hood, and not scrape the ground, that using offroad would have cleared up a lot of issues and made for a superior, slightly more obviously feminine bot mode.
SKYWARPED_128 wrote:Good choice! If they could somehow narrow the shoulders a bit, he'd be perfect. But if the fembot remold is cast as the "muscle" of the team, then its spot on.

The shoulders wouldn't bother me, that's an engineering thing, and thus cannot be counted against the figure, irregardless of what I want, in my books. Personally I don't even like the a/b mold as a bot. The torso is a solid cube and the crotch is so thin as to be silly in its disproportion with the body. But my team would be:
Offroad remold - physically feminine member (due to engineering reasons - as stated earlier)
Brawl remold - muscle (kinda like Tex from RvB)
Dead-End remould - the speed, maybe a ninja bada$$
Skydive remold - sniper
and hotspot can remain as pyra magna, have no real beef with the mold/her.

Regarding Alpha Bravo, for some reason, I just thought the head makes it perfect as the team nerd. But yeah, I'm not exactly a fan of the mold itself either.
Nice choices, BTW.

Thanks, I thought it would yield the most diversity and variety amongst them, shame, really, I got myself so hyped for that combination, then realized we're just getting a pair of a/b's and breakdown insteadI want that and my seeker idea

Well, the beauty of the scramble city concept is that you can always mix and match. If you're good with a paintbrush or airbrush, it shouldn't be too big of a problem. Better still, you can paint Vicky (that's her new nickname, right? Like Devy?
) in whatever colors you prefer.
It might cost a pretty penny to get the whole Vic set and then add your own preferred CW limbs for it, but you can always do a head swap and save the unused bodies for kit-bashing or re-purposing.

I've not gotten into that stuff, and don't have the money to do so, anyways; but being rather good at drawing, I should theoretically be pretty good at it I guess.
But, yes, vicy is most definitely her new nickname, much easier to type![]()
Dammit, now I want ironhide done up like cannonball (with those sexy teal skeletons) with a hook, a knife, and a clamp accessory
