It took them this long to become this inclusive in the first place. I think Hasbro is still a ways away from introducing non-binary characters, as much as that kind of representation would rock.

Any idea when the last boat-load of voting topics will be revealed? I am particularly interested in the results of the colour scheme poll. I went with the 3rd option, because I thought it was the most unique, and kindof reminded me of Leo Kaiser.

I hope we won't get the gender to be female otherwise the combiner probably will be a one time thing

Still can't actually vote because I don't own an android/iphone. I thought I could vote with Google Play, but as far as I know it only lets you download apps to your smartphone from your PC, which frankly is redundant.

If we get a female combiner we might have some werid looking transformer combiner wars figures plus we know hasbro is NOT a fan of female transformers theirs not been really many female transformer characters plus victorian is a female name and slammoth and quakebreak are male names plus i would vote Transformers gender male loyalty slammoth (does anyone notice that the powers might be why the names be like that) nemsis galvatronus plus i would like a female combiner but not a fan built combiner to be that because we never gotten a combiner from the sea of rust (that i would like to be male)

Plus hasbro makes toys for younger audiences really i don't think a fan buikt female combiner would sell welll so...

Plus i we do get a female combiner the combiner will probably be female by torture and reprogramming like how arcee used to be a guy but was recoded and changed into a female in idw transformer comics

I engaged my fanfic powers and thought of two cool possible bios for our combiner using the voting options:

Name: QuakeBreak (though I can imagine the name Slammoth working for this bio too)
Gender: Male
Nemesis: Devastator
Personality: Independent
Bio notes: This combiner team would have something of the "rough-neck" to them. They are scavengers from the rust sea, preferring to live outside of typical Cybertronian society because they reject the imperfect peace and Starscream's subsequent rise to power. They find their nemeses in the form of the other "blue-collar" combiner, Devastator because...uh.. I can't come up with a good in continuity reason for this, I just think it would be a cool aesthetic mash-up.

Name: Victorion
Gender: Female
Nemesis: Galvatronus
Personality: Loyal (though Leader could work too)
Bio notes: A hold over from pre-Golden Age Cybertron, this team consists of a group that displays the "aberration" of female gender, one of the aberrations that Galvatron sought to cleanse during the war of primes. Loyal to a long lost liege, this group now accepts the leadership of Optimus Prime, who they view as a worthy successor. They would have lain dormant in the rust sea until being reactivated. Their aesthetic is that of medieval European knights or Roman legionnaires

I personally voted along the lines of the second bio. Either way I know IDW will do whatever they want with the character, but I like thinking these things up.

Why would it be? What makes a bunch of girls forming a bigger girl different enough from a bunch of guys forming a bigger guy that the girls would only get to combine once?

Only if you find the existing molds to be weird looking since the fan built combiner, regardless of gender, will be made of redecos of the existing Aerialbot, Stunticon, and Protectobot molds.

This has been primarily a boy's toyline for 30 years. It goes without saying that there haven't been as many female Transformers as there have been male ones, but there are still a LOT of them out there.

Would you consider "Strongarm" to be a male name? Cuz it's currently being used for a very prominent female Transformer in the new Robots in Disguise cartoon.

At this point, a fan built combiner would be the best way for us to even ever get a female combiner. Voting for a female combiner in this kind of thing is what tells Hasbro that we want one. It'll shake Hasbro out of its male combiner comfort zone enough to realize that there is a demand for female combiners and get them interested in making more. This fan combiner, however, pretty much needs to the catalyst to make that happen sooner than later.

The fan built combiner is being aimed more at the older fans than at kids since it is us who is helping to make this thing a reality.

A female Transformer is not defined by how slim or slender she is. There have been plenty of bulky and blocky female Transformers over the years. Strongarm, for instance, is one such blocky female:

I sincerely doubt IDW would ever want to do that ever again, considering how negatively it was received and how Windblade, Chromia, and Nautica were all introduced as female Transformers who were not gender-bent from males.

Gender doesn't need to mean sexual dimorphism (see: Strongarm)

Why in the blue hell would I want male molds turned into female characters ?

Unless they find a way to make the Arcee, Chromia, and Windblade molds combine, keep them male.

It's happened a bajillion times before. "Slim and slender" isn't the universal body form for all females.

I'd would think the opposite. Strika definitely have more mass to her, but Strongarm's definately got more sharper edges and boxy angles than the more rounded, blobbish Strika.

Although... I hated how difficult it was to find toys for things like dolphins or the cast of The Brave Little Toaster because those were all "GIRL THINGS".
