Truth is, if I had not already known it was Hugo Weaving as V, I would have never guessed it was him. That V voice is great, but it has nothing similar to Smith, which is good.
We really have no idea what this Megatron will sound like with him voicing it.
Ok that officially rates about a 9 on my awesome meter.

Nah it's a modified sound clip from V for Vendetta during one of his TV transmissions.

And worst yet, if Hugo tries to voice him, in an impersanation of Welker, then what would have been the point of hiring him at all? ALso, kaye well just have gotten the job, they both have similar ranges, and he would have been cheaper. This, in my opinion, is just not Megs, we waited so long, and yet, we got shorted so bad. I would have rather have Hugo, play this villan, not being Megs, then at the end, having Megs come out of freezing cryo, and hearing Welker, for the sequel, then creds roll. That my friend, is how they should have done it. Imagine, a destroyed Hugo decep, saying " awaken my lord...." then hearing Welkers voice as Megs wakes up....dude, .....thats a way better tie in.

no I agree, he has the same voice for a majority of the roles he plays. The only differences that are major as far as the films ive seen him act and v.a. in, are the accents of his characters. I personally beleive he is a bad choice for this movie, not because I dislike his work (I think he is rather mediocre, and hasn't really made a big impression, with the exception of playing "agent smith"), but I simply beleive he wouldn't work as a V.A. for megatron, unless they HEAVILY synthesize his voice.Predaprince wrote:metalslugx1942 wrote:my fear is, that Hugo, will just do the saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame voice he has always done. Hugo Weaving doing the same voice in every role?
Just curious, what movies with him in it have you seen?
I do agree with what you are depicting would be awesome for us fans, but it would never ever happen.

Both were good choices, but, isn't Movie Megatron, just a very small role anyway? I don't think we're going to hear much from Weaving or whoever, I guess.

Sorry, I'm a little lame...I don't get it?

That and he actually has experience in doing voice work behind a microphone for movies.

Dunno, it's just a thought.

It is one of V's line in V for Vendetta.
He is killing a squad of gunmen and then it is just him and the leader and the guy is shooting him and yelling "Why won't you die?" and then he grabs the guy says that line and kills him before going off and laying down to die himself.

But then it would be N.B.E.s, as opposed to N.B.E.S. . It could be intended for plural but it would make for an especially screwy acronym. Maybe 'Non-Biological Extraterrestrial Sapients/Sentients/Species/Specimens'?

Epps: N.B.E's?
Maggie: Non-Biological Extra-Terrestrials.
Sam: They're called Transformers.
