But then it would be N.B.E.s, as opposed to N.B.E.S. . It could be intended for plural but it would make for an especially screwy acronym. Maybe 'Non-Biological Extraterrestrial Sapients/Sentients/Species/Specimens'?
Point wrote:Man, there are too many cry babies in this fandom. I'm looking forward to him being Megatron. Hopefully this will mean they are trying to give Megatron some culture rather than just being the "evil leader guy". I'd rather see someone who plays Megatron as a genius leader who just wants to make everything better for Transformers and considers all other life as fodder. And by the way, when was the last time Welker attended a Botcon or any other Transformer convention? He wouldn't even take 5 minutes to record a couple of lines for Beast Wars cause he wouldn't get paid for it. I'm all for this and all you cry babies need to go home and get your diapers changed.

If that's the case then they should have gotten Tim Allen to play him, since he said "Nelson" a lot.
I've seen a lot of Chalk's work, and to be honest he has no range, his voices all sound the same.

Literally quotes from the script:
Highlight to read.Leaked Script wrote:Banachek: You've all had direct contact with the N.B.E'S which--like it or not--makes you the world's formost experts on how to beat them.
Epps: N.B.E's?
Maggie: Non-Biological Extra-Terrestrials.
Sam: They're called Transformers.

what is wrong with you? okay, I'll agree some of the stuff cullen has done sounds similar, but seriously... i'll give you at least one example where you are wrong about cullen (although there are alot more too) ironhide and prime, both of which are distinctly different from each other.Predaprince wrote:Darth Screamer wrote:Welker doesn't deserve to play a robot that looks like the Jaws of life was used on him instead of the car he was in.
Given your previous statements, did you mean that the robot doesn't deserve Welker to voice it?If that's the case then they should have gotten Tim Allen to play him, since he said "Nelson" a lot.
Do you mean Wilson?I've seen a lot of Chalk's work, and to be honest he has no range, his voices all sound the same.
Actually, that is true with most of the characters he has done, but isn't that also true with Cullen. Most of the voices he does that are very similar is because it is his natural voice and the directors of the TF shows want him to continue using it; that doesn't necessarily mean he can't do other voices. Go watch "Stan Lee presents Mosaic".

Carcass, have you taken this to heart a little? I have to ask, you say "at the expense of 20 years of unwavering dedication", but prior to that you sayCarcass wrote:I can't stand anything I've seen so far. Not a single bit of it.
Does that mean you're not happy with Cullen?

Eh, I said 20 years of G1 dedication. This new movie is not G1 no matter what anyone says. It is a new continuity with new characters that were never featured in G1 along with a completely new story. Just because it is a "modernized revamp" of the original Transformers doesn't make it G1... call it G3 if you have to call it anything at all, just don't call it G1.
Am I not happy with Cullen? This isn't the Optimus Prime that I grew up with, so I would have to say that it bothers me as much as having David Kaye voice Prime in Heroes. Which is not at all. I know what I like and anything that I think sucks or will suck... well, let's just say if I don't like something, then why would I care about some fan-choice voice actor not getting his fan service?
The post was in self-jest if nothing else. Do I think the movie will suck? YES. But I want to see it first so that I can back up my opinions 100%. Everyone's saying, "I know you don't like the designs, but TRUST US... go SEE IT FIRST... YOU WILL BE AMAZED!" I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt even though I think they are full of ****.
The point was that you can expect this type of message board outrage from Transformers to Firefly all the way down to My Little Pony in regards to the handling of a franchise. We know the old fandom is probably 80% in favor of this movie sucking and that 95% of n00b transnerds from the last 5-10 years will think that this movie will rock. (please, do not try to disprove those statistics, I will be the first to admit that I pulled them out of my ass). Again, this is BEFORE anyone has seen it. Really, who cares who is doing the voice acting? At the end of the day, is the movie going to be good or bad? Will the movie be good enough to redeem Weaving's voice acting or will Weaving's Megatron actually be better than Welker ever was? If they REALLY listened to the fandom, Welker would probably be voicing Megatron. He's NOT. So...
GO SEE THE MOVIE FIRST.

Well, if we can't have Cullen, then i would go for Weaving. Having known he will be voicing Megs for a few hours now, i'm already finding he's starting to grow on me
