So yeah, sig creation has been beyond me to this point. I haven't read the 12 pages of this thread, but I was wondering if someone could PM me...

#1) what you do to create a sig.

#2) if you want to take a stab at creating the Jordan Jumpman logo sig for me, I'd be most appreciative. I was thinking white jumpman, black background. Simple right?

I use program called manga Studios (but most people use photoshop) that has a feature to make illistrations. You get a picture of the object(s) you want in the sig or a render which are much easier to work with, and start pasting. After that you can add effects, coloring, textures, and what not.

It's not as hard as some people make it out to be. Once you have a hanld on the program your useing it's pretting much first grade art class.

You can get Opensource software to edit images too, the two i know about are Paint.net and The GIMP, I haven't tried The GIMP, but I do use Paint.Net, I have used Photoshop and Paint.net is a lot like PS, though just missing a few features.

Just think of Paint.net as a cross between Windows Paint, and Photoshop, its the same sort of layout as Paint, but with more features, I used Paint.net to make my sig, I just took a screen cap of a Strongbad email, then pasted it into Paint.net, the cropped it to the size I wanted, then added semitransparent text, and when saving it gives you the save as option (Gif, Jpg, ETC), and the you can set the quality of the file (for posting on this site just get the size as near as 40kb as possible), so its worth looking into The GIMP or Paint.net.

Indeed. Both of you need to make a few adjustments. The knuckles in this suit aren't formed from stainless steel just for looks.
