Some other guy translated it such that Dark Skyfire is Skyfire himself, from an era before the formation of the Decepticon army. Since my understanding of Japanese isn't 100% accurate, it might be true.

Doesn't make sense though, since the formation of the Cons started with the formation of their army/military... And why would he join wear the Con insignia before the Cons were formed? Also, wouldn't it be better named as Skyfire Pre-War ver or something...

I really don't care what they are gonna call him. That paint job is just to sweet to pass up on that mold. I've been waiting for a nice Con color scheme like that since we found out about Dreadwind back in Botcon 07!! Can't wait for the preorders for this guy to go up.

BBTS's customer service and Pile of Loot keep me coming back. (Except for Strafe, which was $30 cheaper on eBay!)

RK will probably be far cheaper than BBTS in this instance. Or Fantofan, if they get it. I got my Henkei Thundercracker from them for $20 less than most other places.

IMO, this is a strange choice to get the 'dark repaint' treatment. I mostly won't be getting it because it's neither a G1 homage nor a new mold that's so awesome I can't pass up. Also I like my money.

Looking good. Just wish they mixed up the booster pack with some more colour instead of solid purple.

I like how the profile suggests he's a different character to Skyfire. Always glad to see a new character in G1. Though if I got him, I'd call him Skyfire and and call the Autobot Jetfire since that's what he's called over here anyway.

Since various versions of G1 have had the Jetfire/Starscream relationship, the fact that the profile mentions the Dark Skyfire and Skyfire link/history suggests that he could have a history with Starscream too and not necessarily a good one either.

I've been putting off buying Treadbolt but now I feel compelled to pick up all variants of this mold including Dreadwind.
