I would have bought on the spot 2 years ago. But now that I'm into Uranus, this is not needed. I still use FP Superion with the Energon versions as a "G2 Superion" but I'm not sure white would go with those decos. Maybe if it's 25 bucks I would buy it. Where is it for sale ?

I'm still after the FP upgrade set, so if this was a decent price I'd go for it.

This set used to be highly sort after. I might get it just to take the ROTF Superion out of the storage bins. Im using the other FP set with the energon versions of the mold as a "G2" Superion. But Im in no hurry. Im still all into Uranus.

I used to have it and loved it it was my first combiner then one day it just had to go, i just stopped liking it and sold it with no regrets , i have tfc superion now so...

I still have that Superion, but it's just recently lost it's place to TFC's version. It's good for what it was, but it's just been surpassed. It doesn't help that it's much smaller than others of the "fp scale" it's supposed to be a part of. Maybe one day, when I have more space, it'll find it's way back to my display.

I don't like how they ripped off Shapeways customs either. Although I do wonder at the demand of those customs at this point.

I couldn't disagree more. Sure, it's only a subtle homage to the original Aerialbots, and TFC's is much more in line as a "Classics" version, but the play-ability of this set is monstrous! I realize that the parts-forming is almost ridiculous (but if the alternative is FoC Bruticus?), however, I think this thing looks awesome in all modes. The added parts to Silverbolt almost give me a Macross/Robotech vibe, as does the inclusion of the AWACS dish. Looking at these pics, I want to pull my guy out of my display case and fiddle with him again.

I understand why many feel the way they do, buy I would definitely argue against "sucks."

I can agree on the playabilty with the fp set , other than that it just doesn't hold up any more as superion the individual robots are not good in any way imo , i thought this when i sold mine way before i knew tfc was coming with uranus and i will say the same for the bruticus set (i don't mean swindle and blast off two great figures) just the whole look of the combiner especially with the other fp/mt combiners , superion is old now i think the same when i see bruticus and warbot defender .

No love for Bruticus either? I remember when that was THE standard.

Not really a fan of the size of the individual guys and considered getting a FoC Bruticus (with some enhancements) to replace him. But I still really like the overall look. If I'm replacing him I want to do it with one that matches TFC Superion (Warbotron looks like he's too friggin' big; I already have two sizes for my combiners, I don't need 3). But, overall I still like FP's enhanced Bruticus. Maybe I can just stay satisfied for a long ass time.

This set is a real missed opportunity, though. I don't know why they'd KO this set when the figures have been out of production for so long. It'd have been nice if they put out a little extra effort and KO the Aerialbots, making the colours closer to G1 than was done by either Superion set, maybe redoing the heads as well. They could even make a whole new head for the combined mode that way, conceivably. I already have both sets AND TFC Superion and I'd buy that in a heartbeat, just to have.
