duragrip wrote:Ironman 2 is my favorite Ironman because it had the most tech. The Thor teaser at the end does not motivate to watch either of the movies because it's all magic, no technology or science.

Did you watch either Thor?

The first Thor I just heard my co-workers watching it. I did not see any video, just the audio. I was not motivated to the see the 2nd Thor movie so that one I had no exposure to at all.

duragrip wrote:I never watched Ironman 2 because it looked boring with all the ironman suites. It devalued Ironman in my eyes. I skipped it and went straight from 1 to 3. I like Ironman 3 because it had a happy ending. I barely watched Thor and have no desire to see the second movie. Did I miss much with Ironman 2. Is it even worth watching?

This is his period of lucidness. That or there are actually 2 different people masquerading as him. Or a case of multiple personalities.

duragrip wrote:Maybe I should watch Thor 1 and 2. Perhaps I'll feel differently afterwards.
IMO the Thor films are the weakest of the MCU so far. I think they're both only barely interesting, and the 1st film is why I don't like Agent Coulson and wasn't sad to see him go in Avengers. The only really good part of Thor 2 was Loki's clever trick, and unlike the other MCU films, it actually left me with enough interest to look forward to Thor 3.Va'al wrote:duragrip wrote:Maybe I should watch Thor 1 and 2. Perhaps you should! Despite the small connections to the wider MCU, the second film is a fun watch, with good dialogue, great effects and some decently emotional parts to the dynamics among Asgardians, and between them and Earth (among other things). And it sort of redeems the 'meh'ness of the first one, in my view.

More or less my thoughts, too. But at the same time, I thought Thor 2 was a good bag of humour, silly science and sort of magic - with an emotional drive - something that the first one kind of ignored to highlight more the visuals of Asgard and its universe.
