Anybody else notice the tiny trigger? I wonder if that's for US safety laws. I'm not gonna lie, if they were going to parts form they should've stuck with a removable barrel.
Hi Chuck, it looks like the stock may actually be what forms the inner part of the lower legs that makes them thicker. Brilliant design!
This MP is PHENOMENAL! I haven't been this excited for a new Transformer in a LONG time.
That makes sense since the stock in hollow in the back. That really is ingenious.
You guys are so damn smart, this is really ingenius. I was hoping the barrel would also be removable, how are we sure it isn't and simply attached to the back?
Time to consult the chart!Seibertron wrote:Overall Shockwave looks fantastic. I could've gone for a shade or two darker purple (more G1 toy accurate and less cartoon accurate) and still feel like he should be a little taller. I'd have to look at the animation scale from G1 to see if Soundwave or Shockwave should be taller, but I feel like he should be taller than Soundwave.

Looks good to me. They're so close together on size I'm not gonna nitpick over it one way or another.
william-james88 wrote:WOW, this is litetrally everything we wanted when we saw the prototype. The backpack is optional and can be configured differently. I dont midn the partformig one bit, since this is basically the G1 toy done as right as possible. Oh man, this is phenominal. The scale is great and most of all the price is geat. 175$ US BBTS? No thanks, as I predicted, you can get this guy for as low as 100$ plus shipping.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

Well, to be fair, BBTS just lowered the price of Shockwave to $159.99. (Hot Rod went down too...)

It looks like Shockwave retains his light up features as well. This is truly a first amongst the Masterpiece Transformers. Kudos to Takara Tomy for remaining so faithful to the toy and the cartoon's look. Wow.

Seibertron wrote:It looks like it's pretty close to the chart. As long as he's close to Soundwave and taller than Starscream. It must be his very tall G1 toy that makes me keep thinking he should be taller than everyone else. Of course, by that logic, he should be as tall as Devastator!
Carnivius_Prime wrote:Probably only the second ever so called 'masterpiece' figure where I look at it and think "hm, this one looks well done" (the other being Grimlock). I would certainly prefer the darker purple though as it looks a bit more menacing.

Also, hehheheh, Soundwave can play with himself!
william-james88 wrote:The more I look at it, it is impossible for the barrel to actually be connected to the back without partforming. This is amazing news to me. The backpack appears to be truly optional if you want the cartoon look (which you can get by covering it with the base).

Soundwave?

You and me both man.

Third. I'd go with a more local site but they require payment up front and I just don't have the cash at the moment (**** car!), HLJ will give me time to save up. Yays!
