Sabrblade wrote:No word on either yet. I'm just speculating on season 3's length since, unlike both Prime (who was striving for 65 all along) and MLP (whose 3rd season production was cut in half to allow them to simultaneously produce the Equestria Girls film), Rescue Bots has little to interfere with it having a full-length 26-episode season, so we can hope for the best.Nemesis Primal wrote:As for Rescue Bots, is there any word yet on how many episodes Season 3 has, or what happened to the missing Season 2 episodes?
Well, it was originally going to be just a toy-only line with no show, and it's very possible that it's lasted as long as it has thanks to the show's success. Especially with the latest toys being molded to resemble the show's animation models over the original toys' designs. If anything, the show's likely been more helpful to the toy sales than not.Nemesis Primal wrote:Sabrblade wrote:No word on either yet. Yeah, I'm just worried they'll decide at some point it's not profitable enough and scrap it for something else. Or cut it down if it start looks like it's going to have more episodes than G1, because how dare anything eclipse G1.

Tragic? More like heroic. G1 Prime's movie death was tragic. Prime Prime willingly surrendered himself to the Well for the sake of Cybertron (just as he had done when he was one of the Thirteen).Lockdownhunter wrote:I am interested .I really hope optimus prime gets resurrected as optimus supreme after his tragic demise in predacons rising.

One of the best Optimus deaths ever, especially since things were ever more dire in that series's situation. "Cybertron's Greatest Hero", indeed.william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Tragic? Once again, that line just made me think of Beast Machines

How does wielding a katana sudden make someone like Drift? Drift never even had a katana.Fires_Of_Inferno wrote:Sideswipe, I don't like the "hair" design of his head. It's been mentioned, and it's a can of worms to try to figure it out now when we've so little info. It's very much just the Prime art style done in cel-shaded CGI rather than pure CGI. Even Prime had hand-painted backgrounds.Fires_Of_Inferno wrote:The character design. It's like they tried to mash TF:P with Animated and got this crap. If they give us Animated again, I'll be very disappointed.

If they give us the inventiveness of the animated toy line again, I would jump for joy. We already know that isnt happening, but I just wanted to write this after seeing that line, which gives a good sense of where most of your mindset when approaching this series.

And if it can overtake G1's episode count, by all means, it certainly deserves to.

Fires_Of_Inferno wrote:I've been trying to make myself like the concept of RID here, and I just can't seem to do it.
There are things I like about it, like Fix-it. For some reason I like him in the one scene they've shown of him, I thought I'd hate him. I like Strong Arm, simply for the fact that she's not another slender body/high-heels fembot, though the personality seems to grate on me and I think it's because I fear that she might end up being one-dimensional, though I could be wrong. And Bisk. Just Bisk. He's a car that turns into a lobster. A lobster named Bisk. I just can't hate that, even if the character is annoying.
Then I look at everything else, and it's just all kinds of bad to me. More Bumblebee/Cheetor/Hotshot is never a good thing in the cartoons. Though I guess he is now Hasbro's safety line for when they want to reboot something.

The Decepticons, except for Bisk, I really don't like the look of these guys. Where are the animal heads coming from? I guess it makes about as much sense as an alien robot that looks human, but isn't that why they designed them all without noses in TF: Prime? So they wouldn't look so human (and because they'd look weird with the animation style)? If so then this is kinda going the other way by making them look like animals from Earth.
The Humans. Beast Wars was fine without them, some of the best episodes of Prime didn't have them heavily featured in them, why do we still need them? Not much is seen of them, sure, but there haven't really been any good human characters.
The character design. It's like they tried to mash TF:P with Animated and got this crap. If they give us Animated again, I'll be very disappointed.
As for the toys, I think I might want a Strongarm figure when it comes out. And Bisk. If they don't make a Bisk toy then I will be upset.
Bisk.
Design I give you, but character? Prime Prime was as interesting a person as a brick. This was my problem with Prime. The characters were so freaking boring. Especially Arcee and Optimus.

But whenever she'd let her negative emotions overcome the rest of her character, she did come off as being irritable and uncharacteristically rude.

I don't think Animated Optimus Prime was that bad, and I'm not sure if you're counting Optimus Primal but it was good with him up until Beast Machines.
