Nice!

Rodimus kinda bothers me as a Powerlinx bot, he is so close to being the best powerlinxer out there, but his shirt mode isn't posable at all, and in pants mode all his stuff gets in the way.

I still think Inferno and Mirage are the best powerlinx pair

Yeah, Rodimus is the most cumbersome in either mode. Though Downshift is pretty annoying to. Even in shirt mode, his own arms get in the way.

Inferno I think is the best one, pants and shirt. Mirage works as Pants more than shirt though.

Towline however is the cleanest Shirt out there since half his mass goes with his roving base.

Picking him up now and comparing him with the current deluxes he's quite heavy too in his van mode.

Mirage works so good because he makes a highly posable shirt or pants. Inferno's only holdup is his pants mode has no knees but is very solid. I have those 2 together, and Rodimus and Downshift together, and then the police decos of Rodimus and Mirage.

I also have the larger Ironhide and Cliffjumper. Those 2 are interesting, they are both so nearly good in both modes but not quiiiiiite there, but very close. And their combined mode can kill people.

Towline is really nice, I have him in just his van mode, it looks so nice and it's good and tidy too

Yeah Towline is really nice. Tightly packed.

I never got the larger ones but Cliffjumper/Beachcomber always intrigued me.

I do own and love Springer and his drone however.

Oh, that's easy, Bandai Action Base, AKA Gundam stands.

Image

They're about $13 on Amazon, but half that price in Japan so either pay more and get them sooner or wait until cheap shipping occurs again from Japan and buy them in bulk for around $6 each.

Sorry Emerje, but those Action Bases aren't really going to cut it. They're designed for 1/144 and 1/100 scale Gundam kits (5" and 7" respectively), and I know from the junkers and partials I've got that Gundam models are generally on the lightweight side. Those stands might work for some Mega/Voyager figures, but that's the most I'd bet on working. Even if they could take the weight of the larger classes, which I doubt, the reach would be an increasing issue.

The heavier, more expensive stands designed for the 1/60 scale (~12") Gundams might be up to the task. But I would want to see that tested before committing.

Then there's the question of how to attach them to Transformers...

In my case, I was also wondering specifically about clear flight stands.

I got lucky, I got both Energon and Cybertron Wing Saber (the latter missing a couple pieces but all the important stuff was there and I have acquired almost all the missing pieces) for around $100 shipped.

I think I like Cybertron more, that design speaks to me more. Both make awesome flying Primes too

Action Bases can also take Master Grade and R3 kits which can be quite heavy (more than a pound). The key features of a support beam and the top joint being adjusted with a screw allow them to hold a pretty good amount of weight. One couldn't hold a fully combined Armada Optimus with Jetfire and Overload of course, but you can double or triple them up if need be for sure, though one alone should be fine for anything around the size of an Armada Jet. You'd have to be creative to connect them, but I'm sure it can be pulled off. Plus they do make clear ones.

Image

I've got a couple of them, I'll have to dig them out sometime and give it a shot (wont be any time too soon though).

HotShot is super cool.

Makes me want to go out and hunt that Hotshot to add to my other HotShots. Energon,Cyb/Cyb Def/Prime

Also, Prime Hotshot was definitely a good use of the Bumblebee mold. If only it had slightly lighter blue and the yellow googles rather than black.

Cybertron Hot Shot is awesome. The color scheme is great, and both main figures are a lot of fun. Only complaint is that his Cybertron Defense form didn't get the size boost that Red Alert and Scattorshot got.

Indeed. And no way was I passing him up at that $30 (Which together with tax and shipping, meant I basically paid the original retail price for him) when he was intact enough for my purposes.

Emerje wrote:

Emerje
He's missing the gun, the missiles, and the key. The gun's absence is inconsequential, since I can just grab Megatron's when I want to play with him; in fact, the gun with my Megatron is actually a Galvatron gun.
Missing the missiles is annoying, but not especially painful. Same for the key, since Cyber Key gimmicks aren't really difficult to operate by other means.

He has the claw, which is the really important thing.

Just acquired the third one, though it has a few issues and got it to fix the issues on the second one. In my headcanon I consider them Unicron's Spawn, like Chrono Trigger's Lavos Spawn for those that still remember that SNES game. Anyone else thought of army/squad building them?
