william-james88 wrote:I think trypticon looks awesome. A different looking alt mode would make some sense in a smaller toy that is less of a gamble, but for a toy this size the main frame of reference is the g1 toy, especially if it transforms into a base.
Fort max strayed from his g1 origins for base mode (dont give me that catalogue crap) and suffers for it to no end. Lets give Hasbro a break here and welcome them playing it safe for this particular instance.
For all those saying that they might as well buy the g1 toy (a worthwhile argument for Fort max), please note that the g1 Trypticon toy is not that great. Would definitely not be on a top 5 list of best base bots (umm... I havent written that list yet, maybe I should, and maybe I should wait for this guy to come out before).

Just got the platinum for 85 quid. Would have been 75 but i was waiting to see what this looked like. Like i said, it's also a matter of cost and shelf space. For a trypticon that looks like his g1 toy, that's gonna fit better in my shelf and dsplay.

I'm confused. We've already seen the whole figure, but now they're "teasing" us with just an outline of it, and an announcement that it's going to be revealed at NYTF, which we already knew?

Yeah he has 3, but they cover 75% of the cardinal points and all reach the ground. I hope that stays the same for the Titan Release.

I liked it. Even more fun to set it loose on a cat.
Now imagine this guy with a motorised walking function and a cat.
