Assuming the man in the picture is of average height for an adult human male, 5'10", the Devistator in the picture is about one fourth the height of the man, or 1'5.5" tall, up to the top of Devistator's head. That's quite a bit shorter than Metroplex at just over 2'0". If you count the crane arm behind his left shoulder, then we're talking about 1'11.3", still shorter than Metroplex, but not by much. I'd say the scale is pretty good. Devistator should be a BEAST, but he will still be much smaller than Metroplex. He'll be a good rival for Platinum Edition Omega Supreme.
Metroplex was pretty, but there really wasn't much to him but height. As long as he's in scale with the other combiners, it doesn't really matter if he's as tall as a city. He shouldn't be, anyway.
Yes, Devastator shouldn't be as tall as Metroplex, and it looks like he indeed won't be. I think you misunderstood me when I said Devastator should be a "beast" but not nearly as tall as Metroplex. I want him to be about on par with Omega Supreme, which it seems will be the case.

Reissue Trypticon in a small box sideways? Oh wait, it might be the astrotrain and bblitzwing rerelease we heard rumours about. Yeah, that would work with that size of box and the decepticon logo.
RiddlerJ wrote:I wonder if you could switch these limbs out with the other Combiner Wars figures. I'm guessing not due to size issues.
Who wants to bet, a 3rd party make a Prowl figure that can be switched out for whoever forms the head?

AutoBorst wrote:Interesting. Perhaps this is their answer to a Masterpiece Devastator? It looks like it could meet or match their scale.

Would Hasbro release official pictures in light of this event and many people seeing their upcoming toys? Is there any precedence to Transformer news emerging from the Nuremberg toy fair? I ask because this is supposed to be one of the largest toy fairs every year and yet we were only expecting stuff from the NY Toy Fair, SDCC and Botcon.
It is, but really hard for me to get to, travel-wise.
As far as I know, it's the same deal as the UK one, and anyone can get in (though with different permissions). Dead Metal might have more details on that.
It is, though, the biggest event in Europe for the industry, as it covers all markets that are not the UK - not technically true, but that seems to be the case.
In terms of news, there have been some things coming out of it, but nothing gigantic (heh).

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

As the rumor goes, Titan Devastator will be released as a Masterpiece by TakaraTomy.

It's sadly no-longer open to the public. The only people that can get in are those who either have or work for a toy-store or store that sells toys, or people affiliated with a toy company.
I know because I wanted to get in a few years ago while I was still on the News Crew and report on all the stuff there, then the store owner who said he'd take me along as his "affiliate" didn't go.
So it's really rare for us to actually get news from there, but if we do get something (like last year's toy catalog) I'll translate it. Just PM or FB me.
Oh wow, I just realized, the ToyFair I wanted to get in ended up revealing a few new Power Core Combiners, and here we are at yet another Nürnberg ToyFair, and we'll get to see Combiner Wars Devastator.

Apparently we dropped the ball here. We should have had you register through Hasbro's PR company in Germany as press for Seibertron.com which I could help out with. Going forward, does anyone on the staff currently live near there? It'd be great to figure this out for next year so that someone is there as Seibertron.com Press.

I am at the office grinning like an idiot as I read that sentence.
