Who said both pics weren't taken at the same time? It just looks like some guy snapped 2 pics off with a cell camera, no more involved than that. However, if it is a deliberate marketing campaign, it's brilliant

It was mostly tongue-in-cheek, since I saw a lot of people suddenly talking about it on my twitter feed. But at the same time, it's kind of a bad precedent to set to offer bounties on photos like this. Seeing as how we haven't ALREADY gotten several decent photos of the figure, this is likely a retailer/distributor type of display, which usually comes with an NDA or at least some rules disallowing photos. It can be for lots of different reasons, non-final product/not ready for offical release, etc, but it's usually taken pretty seriously. So the site is basically asking someone to break those rules and risk getting tossed out/banned for a $50 payday. I absolutely understand the desire to have an exclusive look at something to draw traffic, but I disagree that this is a good way to go about it. It'll be on display at ToyFair most likely, we just have to be patient and wait a couple more weeks. Pushing for photos like this could cause Hasbro to react by severely limiting what they show in the future. I'm as excited to see this guy in all his glory as everyone else, but I can wait a few days for an official reveal.

I definitely wouldn't want someone to get thrown out over 50 bucks. A rare Transformers figure or a high end Masterpiece figure? I might get thrown out over that...

Good luck with that. It'll be like trying to get a cell phone picture of one of the celebrities at a Comic-con. The convention halls have dozens of guards and thugs lined up to prevent such things. If anyone dares to approach a display or celebrity with camera in hand, the guards stampede them, waving their arms, shouting, and hissing like angry geese. Because they charge money for those pictures and autographs, and people taking pictures of them for free isn't gonna happen.

I don't doubt these toy fairs are similarly staffed with thugs to stop people just like you and me from getting those sneak peeks.

For me personally, scale doesn't matter for this figure, just as long as he's big and ready to kick some poor autobots' ass, I'm good! :) (I mean, c'mon, it's freaking devastator!!!)

Im thinking omega is alot smaller then this Devastator. Hercules is about the same height as YOTS Omega with the maketoys add on set.

I'd imagine this Devastator wouldn't be that much taller than those. There's no way it'll be as tall as Metroplex was. Six Voyagers in the G1 Devy configuration don't reach two feet. It'll probably more likely be about as tall as Hercules. If not, maybe a head or so taller, but not by a whole lot.

Devastator looks amazing.
The fans are finally going to get a toy worthy of the character!
I am hoping that a recent comment about Mixmaster was incorrect and that he transforms, as he did back in G1, with his Cab section forming the foot. Its too soon to say with the blurry photos. From what we have seen its certainly worth the wait.

This news was a bummer for me. The nearly as tall as metroplex height pretty much confirms its meant to be a stand alone piece that might scale ok with MP figures. (Which I dont collect) Also the upside down mixmaster boot sounds like a major eyesore to a G1 traditionalist like myself. I could easily see a 3rd party doing a proper mixmaster with the cab as the boot.

An upside down Mixmaster sounds like a cost cutting decision to me, use the back of the truck as a foot and no need to have the cab section flip up. It baffles me that something so clearly designed to be G1 then goes and stuffs it at the last hurdle and could cause those that REALLY like their G1 to be bang on G1 to think twice. #-o

Yeah, being about as tall as Metroplex sounds a bit too outrageous to be true.

The figures would have be the size of Ultras instead of Voyagers, or like the super-sized simplistic Prime Beast Hunters Optimus and Predaking molds from 2014.

No one has confirmed it's not mistransformed yet, and looking at the G1 versions, Mixmaster was the simplest of them all. I can't fathom how making anything reversing that set up is in any way a cost cutting measure

True it hasn't been confirmed its not mistransformed but then why would it have a leg connection port on both ends? They wouldn't which would mean that the upper leg is simply balancing on Mixmaster...or maybe glued.

By turning Mixmaster upside down there is no need for a joint allowing the cab to fold over to form Devy's foot, therefore reducing the cost of the design.
