Yup, I was gonna write that. I dont know where that idea came from, only Voyager Prime has that Evasion name.

Just recently got CW Mirage and Sunstreaker. Mirage is just PERFECT in every ways. Sunny is really nice in both modes and I'm really glad they took the time to remold the big bot hand/feet to make his "engine block". However, it's impossible to turn sunny into a combined arm because the legs just refuse to stay pegged together without the arms to hold them in place like in leg or car mode. So, Sunny can only be a combined leg. Anyone else have that Sunny issue?

I dont have him, but I do have that issue with Wildrider even though its a different mold.

So...is the currently sold standalone Scattershot different than the one that will come in the Technobots set?

There are no shots of that set yet so we dont know. We know the combiner head is the same. If there is a difference, it might be in the deco, but that would be it.

To further proove that we should never refer to the price of Japanese exclusive toys by their BTTS price, here is what G2 Superion is being sold for in Japan: http://www.redmercury.co.jp/shop/detail ... =RED-12631

21600 Yen, which is 184$. We all know that is not the actual price of the item, but instead how much it costs someone in japan to buy it due to import costs and because Japan stores cant buy directly from hasbro. Now, none of us here would ever say "oh man, G2 superion is so damn expensive, what a ripoff for 184$ US" and yet, that is how much he costs for everyone in that country. That should be the same thing for when we see how much BBTS charged for a Takara toy. So just as the price for G2 Superion is 99$ US, (and not 184$), its only fair that when speaking of Takara's prices, we reffer to the actual price of the toy in Japan, rather than what an importer is charging. That is instead simply what it costs some people and is not a rule to judge a toy by.

And just as in the US, all Japan collectable stores are charging a similar amount for this Hasbro excluive, with Monster Japan selling him for 21000 Yen http://www.monster-japan.co.jp/SHOP/tf-gen-254.html

This post was also just to show that sometimes, people who are stuck dealing with hasbro arent always on the crappy end of the stick.

I can't remember where I picked up that term, but I've used it as a way to differentiate between the two drifts.

normally i(& some other people) just call it HeliDrift

oh & i still say to this day that it was a missed opportunity by Hasbro.....NOT to bring out a triple-changing Drift!

mind you....i still can't quite see how you would retain the linkeness of a bugatti veyron from a helicopter(toywise...i mean).

Its not that long to answer. Its just that X and others, use the BBTS price of Takara products to indicate that Takara prices their toys more expensive than Hasbro which isnt true. They take it as a rule that Takara charges more than hasbro for a difference in paint (and thus some find it crazy to pay more when an items doesnt even have that much more paint, like the components of Takara's Defensor). And those thoughts arent founded on anything sound. While for some, a takara toy does end up being more expensive, people must remember that it has nothing to do with extra paint apps or parts or other production costs but only that they dont live in Japan. And this G2 Superion is a perfect way to show the reverse of that, and that deco has nothing to do with the price of Hasbro vs Takara, its just where you live and where the toy you want to buy is being sold.

As for the different AOE drift, I also call him heli drift. What's cool is that heli drift did have its own unique mold in the line:

By the way I was playing with that two pack FoC Grimlock a bit and looking for a crown for him but couldn't find one in the Marvel comic style but do you guys think this one (that I found in a box of wrestling figures at charity shop) looks ok?

I could imagine that the transformation didn't work out with the headcrest, but yeah, that would have been so cool. I saw a custom Springer on ebay just colored blue but with a new head and maybe weapons that would have been awesome.
Or maybe Hasbro just wanted to get more money out of the Skyhammer mold.

Yes, my G2 Slingshot has a bad case of Gold Plastic Syndrome. Combiner Wars G2 Quickslinger however has a black combiner port so at least we know if it happens, that part won't be affected. It's a different colored plastic though.
