I had a few Prime toys break too, but I'm fairly sure I'm just screwed on those.

Ok, here is the big one, my Christmas present to myself.

Asia release of Hasbro MP 10 with the key to vector sigma.



For some reason, I feel I got more for my money with MP 01 for 100$ than MP 10 for 190$. It's a beautiful mold, but he doesnt feel as solid. I love the way the legs transform though, it's perfect, but why does he have that hole on his crotch?

Also, can someone tell me what this orange paper piece is?



One last thing, for an Asian release, there isn't much asian on the box, aside from this small sticker.

i was positively tickled to get that key. its heavy, shiny, and oh so satisfying. especially compared to the alternative, that underwhelming botcon set.

Oh man, that key is the heftiest thing in the whole package. To be honest, when I first held MP 10 in my hands, a certain heft was missing. 100$ got me Platinum Predaking, this glorious giant gestalt with so much heft and durability, and almost double that gets me MP 10 which felt very light in comparison. But man, all that heft I was looking for was in that key. I do not know what it is made of but it feels so strong for it's size. I dont care much for the yellow sphere as much as for the key itself.

And speaking of the key, I am still relatively new to G1. Could any of you tell me what that yellow sphere represents ? And the key came with a detailed orange circular piece of cardboard, does that come into play with the key at all?

There are so many choices(sizes and kinds)in transformer toys I'm lost in which ones to buy.
Would you be able to recommend some new transformer toys i could get her?
I would like to buy her an optimus prime, bumblebe, grimlock, and any other ones you recommend.

For a TF novice, I'd recommend the 1step changers.
Target have a great gift set:



The one step changers favor gameplay over puzzle solving. One the kid is used to these, you can upgrade later on with normal deluxes.

Nice little haul today.

I finally got my last Universe voyager Inferno mold member: UNITED AUTOBOT GRAPPLE! This collection is complete!...for now...

I went to Winners today to see if they had anything good for cheap. Not much. I did manage to find ONE Constructbot AoE Bumblebee with his dino partner. YESSSS! I never saw him in store before! For real! ÉAlso, at 8$, don't mind is I do.

Target have a special today. On many brands for toys, it's buy one, get the other at 50% off. So I bought Gen Scouts Tailgate and Scrapnel. I went to the automated checkout. One scored at the regular 13$ and the other inexplicably scored at 0$. I will not argue with a stupid machine!

Got Legends Nemesis Prime today (my local game/model store imported a few 'Murrican Transformers so I picked him up before someone else did).

Fun little figure, kinda fiddly transformation but his vehicle mode is great and his robot mode kicks arse. Not so sure about Spinister but he makes a nice gun. I defnitely want to start a Legends collection now- especially as he actually makes my ROTF Demolishor and Energon Tidal Wave look (sort of) in scale with something.

Found him still carded on Amazon for $20 with free shipping. Figured that's a good deal. He was cheaper because the card was cut off at the top. Guess what?

I couldnt see the pictures at work when you had posted this, and now I finally caught up the with post. You got Landmine!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is my favourite construction vehicle transformer. He uses every bit of his alt mode for his robot mode and yet both modes look distinct. I just love this guy. And he has a great powerkey gimmick that is both non intrusive to the toy but quite sadistic And a great head sculpt as you would expect from Takara!

I have placed an order with Kapow, now that the price is just right, for the Minicon Assault Team/Centuritron - three minicuties combining into a sort of Deluxe stompingbot? I'm in.

Also paid the deposit for the Takara Windblade for when it comes out.

I really hope Windblade wont dissapoint you Va'al. Hopefully me posting this lowers the hype so that you like her just fine when she finally arrives.

To be fair, I've seen reviews of the Hasbro version, and I'm mildly pleased by the mold. The deco is all I'm really in for with the order. That, and the fact that it's the plastic incarnation of a character that is an interpreter/translator away from home - who turns into a jet.

ive been lazy with posting hauls lately, but i wanted to share this: my autobots united 5-pack. (sorry crappy phone pic)



i skipped the general releases of hound, drift, and crosshairs, and boy am i glad i did. hound is a really great figure with PILES of weapons, only drawback being his feet. drift and crosshairs have their drawbacks, but are still some really nice figures. bee is bee, and prime is prime. and some of these figures biggest flaws were the paint apps, which were completely rectified with this set. they are stunning.

and take it from someone who knows EMOP's (ive got 7 and counting), AU prime is probably the best one. one of the few with a faceplate, perfectly placed and crisp paint apps. only thing missing is the wheel rims... *sigh*

mmmmm.... id say no. but i like that EMOP for different reasons. namely the fact that he's deco'd in the proper movie prime flames (front of truck mode, and legs of bot mode). unfortunately the only EMOP with flames properly placed on the chest (which to me is the most important spot to have them on a movie prime) is takaras TRU rusty prime. to which, well people have strong opinions of that guy.

AU prime is essentially the perfect G1'esq version. main differences between him and (his main competition) takaras general release are:
-takaras has: no face plate, grey feet, flames on shoulders, painted rims, no silver stripe on chest, blue stomach under grill, grey gun, silver painted pauldrons
-AU has: face plate, blue painted feet, extra silver apps on legs, red shoulders with autobot symbols tampo'd, unpainted rims, unpainted pauldrons, painted silver stripe on chest, red stomach under grill
