My intent was to keep it sealed for my MOSC collection. I nervously open the enveloppe... To see that the toy and packaging were miraculously intact! That's one bullet dodjed.
Now, Gudora is hanging there, next to his yellow Beast Hunter brother.
(The red original is open and on display).
Did yours also go to Vancouver?

No. he just took his sweet time.

I'm liking the Protectobots more than their Stunticon mold mates. The joints seem to be a bit tighter, and everything feels better executed.
Rook is amazing.

I'm glad, I was hoping Rook would turn out good. Really hoping mine will arrive tomorrow. Also, aren't you missing a limb? Just didn't pick up Blades or are you not planning on getting him?

Does it make you think they could have done better with Red Alert? Sure they did faux shoulder wheels, but I wish he had his doors hanging off his arms.william-james88 wrote:Its pretty incredible how unlike all other MP cars, this mold really feels like they were doing the G1 toy for today. I am glad to own the G1 toy just to see how deep this homage goes, especially with the arms.Cobotron wrote:Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, how do you like Smokescreen?![]()

Sorry, I dont know enough of either the G1 toy or the MP redeco (so far, I only own one of every MP mold). Maybe Cobotron could help us out here for an opinion.

MP Smokescreen (not a KO) for 45$
Generations Cybertronian Bumblebee for 7$
And Kanrabat, after over a year, I FINALLY got every TF you recomended me way back when (MP 01, Leader Sentinel Prime, WFC Optimus, WFC Bumblebee). And you are right, this bumbblebee is super complex. A very tough transformer indeed. I like him quite a bit except for the plastic used during the WFC/FOC era which really feels cheap and far too light.

WJ, how do you feel about Smokey's feet?

Glad I'm not the only one who just got MP Smokescreen. You got him at a cheaper price than I did as well.

PLEASE don't hate, but I think they are overly complicated for what is the most basic design so far in the MP cars. The ankle pivots are way too loose and they don't look like feet to me. But that goes away when I look at it as a straight up redo of the G1 toy with better articulation. Wheeljack beats everyone else at feet so far and I really like Lambor's multipanel leg system which works wonders (and he didnt have faux wheels, and its cool that things are coming full circle). The thing is, as Wheeljack demonstrated, you cant have things fully both ways. You either have an amazing car transformer or an amazing G1 homage. The datsuns skew towards the homage while the others skew towards the other end (which I prefer due to my lack of attachment to the G1 show and my lack of expertise in G1 toys).

It sucks that yours is loose, none of my four suffer that... I hope my Blue Bluestreak is solid. But I absolutely LOVE how they made the Datsun's feet. It's crazy that they did those not-feet-stumps and still gave them that incredible range of motion.william-james88 wrote:The ankle pivots are way too loose and they don't look like feet to me.
I haven't slept a wink since I got MP AlertCobotron wrote:I do wish the Lambor mold had his wings, but I sleep ok at night.
Agreed. I like to call them bell bottoms.shampoojack wrote: But I absolutely LOVE how they made the Datsun's feet. I crazy they did those not-feet-stumps and gave them that incredible range of motion.

Edit: I forgot to say earlier, the Datsun feet goes back to my old rant about car kibble as a defining feature of Transformers. It all depends on how willing any one person is to except that or not. And I'm not saying you're not WJ.
ClearlySane88 wrote:*raises hand* I didn't know that! I actually don't mind the kibble on most Transformers. I'm one of those guys that thinks it actually sets them apart from all most everything else. Door Wings, Hood Chests, Cockpit Backs/Chests,
I like it all as long as it doesn't get too silly (looking at you complete Penguin on shoulders Beast Wars guy).

We shouldnt compare, mine was open box. Its a sacrifice I make inorder to collect as many toys as possible.
