big post I made back when I got it. And I had a feeling that this would be the outcome since its the easiest way to get the G1 configuration, and UW Superion isnt rare or hard to find (unlike HB Quickslinger). I am sure you will find a buyer in the EU area, you can make a post in

No one gets in the way of my rainchecks, so I went back, bought a random lego set to get the free gift and I will return the set today (at a different TRU) and end up with that bricktober set for free. Its petty, sure, but at least I get something out of it.

I was like that once. Kanrabat can attest that at the begining, I only wanted to know what CHUG figures he had to sell/trade. But I quickly learnt that its all G1 and not G1 at the same time. G1 itself is a label we give it, but in reality g1 begins in 1984 and ends in the early 90s. Anything beyond that is what we decide it to be. Like generations brainstorm from 2014. I think he is a perfect homage to the G1 toy and cartoon but he takes a lot of cues from the modern comics which are as much a retelling of "G1" as the "Prime" show or "Animated" show are. They are all adaptations of the same G1 concepts and looking at it that way, that Generations brainstorm is as "G1" as Prime Ratchet is. Its always Autobots vs Decepticns and when it's something totally different like beast Wars, it turns out its even more G1 since Beast Wars is directly related to the G1 continuity instead of every single CHUG toy which is just an homage to g1 instead of being a direct relation to it (though the recent combiner and headmasters really push the envelope between homage and a direct recreation). Looking at the movie line, that Bludgeon from ROTF is as "G1 accurate" as that Universe Onslought or the upcoming Sky Shadow. Just because he's not in a CHUG line, he's still simply an update to a g1 concept/character/toy. And labels of a line become totally screwey too like with the 2010 Transformers line which has G1 updates (Jazz and Tracks), movie toys (Leader Starscream), movie updates to animated figures incorporated into a classics line (Lugnut) and movie figures repurpused as G1/G2 Updates (Mindstorm, Fallback).
To make it easier, think of it this way: what counts as G1 soundwave and Blaster? Because the versions, and especially alt modes, we have seen in CHUG have been as seperated from their initial g1 selves as the Soudwaves we have gotten in Animted and prime.
Sorry for the long winded post. You just reminded me of myself and I just wanted to say that I had a whole bunch of fun when I realized thta the constraints I set for myself didn't really exist and I could seek out some awesome toys I could miss out on. Now I just look for cool designs. Then again, when I started collecting, the brand still wasnt set on the exact replica of G1 modernized, so it was easier to venture out (as did every fan who had animated arcee as a placeholder for the longest time).

I was hoping to contribute a haul to this thread today, but struck out yet again at a different Walgreens. Not really a toy, but I did swing by Best Buy to finally pick up the 30th Anniversary BR as a consolation prize.

And my wife is only understanding of the fact that if I didnt have my TFs, I would be inconsolable. Its a phase of my life right now and she married me for better or worst (haha, gotcha!) and all she asks now is that I stay reasonable and dont leave my toys around. Or else she can (and will) take them hostage. So keeping costs down is the least and most I can do. That Soundwave was $26 USD + tax, that wheeljack was $10, the walmart exclusive stinger was peanuts at the thrift store and those legos were free (see above).
Oh and about Soundwave, I dont think much of him. I really would not have spent more, he is far less impressive a retool that I originally thought. The only significant retooling is the head, chest panel and the wrap around panels on the legs. I am gonna see how he scales with Appolyon and Gen leader Megatron tonight along with Gen Leader and MP Starscream. One thing good about him though is that the back of the tape deck mode is even cleaner than the MP.
