Funny thing is, this guy is from North Carolina, and he was selling a crap ton of G1 headmasters on auctions, which included the regular headmaster dudes like Brainstorm

I see it as him scamming hisvway to sell kos. Its like money laundering, you mix in the dirty money with the clean one. He knew what he had, or else he wouldn't have let these go on auction. Researching what stuff is worth takes 2 seconds these days. Please report him on the facebook groups your on, there's 0 tolerance for this.
Mind you, any more those "reissues" are blatant from the "reissue" label alone, since unlike actual reissues they have boxes that directly ape the vintage ones - plus they include figures HasTak lost the molds for.-Kanrabat- wrote:Selling things as "real" or "reissues" when they are KO is against eBay's rules. I still feel the burn from the "G1 reissues" of Grimlock and Shockwave.

And anymore they're priced like (high end) KOs. Based on the reviews I've read their quality is on par with the originals (probably better in Mirage's case), so they sound like a decent less-expensive way of getting complete G1 figures. Hm...
How badly did you get burned?

Wait, are you saying you don't have a continuous PoL?!? Madness!TF-fan kev777 wrote:Yeah, I couldn't pass him up at $13.99. I wasn't fond of the original deco.carytheone wrote:Ooh, nice. Snarl has a bitching decoTF-fan kev777 wrote:A couple of guys on sale at BBTS arrived today.
And then because I couldn't justify paying $4 just to ship a $14 figure, I tossed in Brawl at $23. $4 to ship a $37 order is much more like it. (The wife may or may not approve of those mental gymnastics.)

I don't ship until the force my hand. Now each item has a countdown, so I just ship em all and start a new one. Hell the box they ship it in is worth more than $4.
I usually get stuff on sale or non TF stuff from BBTS. With their slightly above retail pricing and slow ass pre-orders I tend to get things elsewhere. BBTS is my last resort for regular priced TFs, unless there is something I absolutely don't want to miss. I frequently play the pre-order hokey pokey with them. If I'm paying full price, I just get TFs at retail.TF-fan kev777 wrote:I don't order from BBTS enough to keep a PoL. I mostly get from Amazon and Pulse, but Target got my attention this year with their awesome sale. Scrapper also arrived today from Target, but he's being returned to Walmart since I paid full price there last week because I'm impatient.carytheone wrote:Wait, are you saying you don't have a continuous PoL?!? I was saying that in my opinion, those counterfeits blatantly give themselves away by being called "reissues", since A. their boxes are straight counterfeits of the original '80s packaging instead of the modified or redesigned packaging from the legit reissues and B. They include figures HasTak can't reissue.-Kanrabat- wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Ouch, shame about getting ripped off on the Headmaster Warriors. Still, congrats on the haul overall. Sometime the KO are very high quality and almost indistinguishable from the real deal. But my beef is when the seller advertise the product as AUTHENTIC. I don't mind reissues... the OFFICIAL ONES that is. If one want to make a KO, the listing must be clear it's the KO version.
Ouch, that sucks.-Kanrabat- wrote:First burn was with the "reissue" of G1 Shockwave from an American seller. I paid 100$ for the thing. For just 20$ more, I could have a complete original at the time. So what I got was the Astro Magnum but in purple colors and black screws. Battery door snapped almost immediately. I manage to sell the thing for 50$.
Second burn that left lasting marks was a "reissue" of G1 Grimlock. The box sait "Military BOBAMBER" (Instead of Commander) and it was over 60$. I transformed it around 5 times and the 6th, he just SNAPPED in half. Garbage.
Ah, I see. Me, I don't give a flying **** about that. Especially with things like how much the accessories for G1s can cost, and the stupid prices Combiner Wars limbs sell for.-Kanrabat- wrote:Personally, I'll avoid buying KO because as a collector item, they are completely and utterly WORTHLESS. Part of the appeal of collecting is to have the genuine product.

Missing key and 1 launcher, and it was $25

What is that little gold spot on the box? It is really interesting to the the Japanese version of the box also, so thanks!

From Target? My scrapper was also delayed which has me worried because they ended up outright canceling my Cyberverse Arcee and Thunderhowl after several "delays" despite not being due until the Fall. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come from the February BOGO sale.
