I see it as him scamming hisvway to sell kos. Its like money laundering, you mix in the dirty money with the clean one. He knew what he had, or else he wouldn't have let these go on auction. Researching what stuff is worth takes 2 seconds these days. Please report him on the facebook groups your on, there's 0 tolerance for this.

I have no issue into buying or selling KOs... as long that everyone are honest about it.

Selling things as "real" or "reissues" when they are KO is against eBay's rules. It's worth a case opening and worth a full refund.

I still feel the burn from the "G1 reissues" of Grimlock and Shockwave.

How badly did you get burned?

Sometime the KO are very high quality and almost indistinguishable from the real deal. But my beef is when the seller advertise the product as AUTHENTIC. I don't mind reissues... the OFFICIAL ONES that is. If one want to make a KO, the listing must be clear it's the KO version.

First burn was with the "reissue" of G1 Shockwave from an American seller. I paid 100$ for the thing. For just 20$ more, I could have a complete original at the time. So what I got was the Astro Magnum but in purple colors and black screws. Battery door snapped almost immediately. I manage to sell the thing for 50$.

Second burn that left lasting marks was a "reissue" of G1 Grimlock. The box sait "Military BOBAMBER" (Instead of Commander) and it was over 60$. I transformed it around 5 times and the 6th, he just SNAPPED in half. Garbage. Many months later I bought a real vintage G1 Grimlock that was almost mint for 50$, but it had no weapons. So I at least gave him the KO's weapons. If I ever sell that Grimlock, I'll say that the bot is real, but the accessories are KO.

Personally, I'll avoid buying KO because as a collector item, they are completely and utterly WORTHLESS. Part of the appeal of collecting is to have the genuine product. And that include reissues too. I'm thankful for many reissues like my G1 Fortmax but I would have never ever bought a KO of G1 Fortmax.

The only KO I do buy and like is when the "KO" is more like a "fan art" than anything else. Like for oversized versions, bizarre paint jobs, or especially the ones that are oversized and so ridiculously modified that they become a 3P original like many WeiJiang.With those they cannot pass as counterfeits "original".

That and sometimes the KOs fix the issues of the original mold. Looking at my KO MP 43 that doesn't have the paper thin exploding crotch.

Otherwise I feel everybody here, as I typically don't buy TFs online unless I know the seller, since I have a general rule of thumb of if I can't hold it and check it out I won't order it. Not only has this saved me A LOT of money, but it has potentially saved me a lot of heartache.

I usually get stuff on sale or non TF stuff from BBTS. With their slightly above retail pricing and slow ass pre-orders I tend to get things elsewhere. BBTS is my last resort for regular priced TFs, unless there is something I absolutely don't want to miss. I frequently play the pre-order hokey pokey with them. If I'm paying full price, I just get TFs at retail.

I've gotten quite a few things from Target dot the com this year, kinda surprising actually. Amazon is probably my main way to get TFs not at retail. Pulse is reserved for Selects and such. Then there is all the random 3P/KOs and other stuff I get from my "drug" dealers in China. Well that ship has sailed or is sailing as planes aren't making as many trips. I'm missing the free shipping

I was saying that in my opinion, those counterfeits blatantly give themselves away by being called "reissues", since A. their boxes are straight counterfeits of the original '80s packaging instead of the modified or redesigned packaging from the legit reissues and B. They include figures HasTak can't reissue.

From Target? My scrapper was also delayed which has me worried because they ended up outright canceling my Cyberverse Arcee and Thunderhowl after several "delays" despite not being due until the Fall. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come from the February BOGO sale.

Anyway, I had a fantastic week of hauls that have arrived this week to share. I'll list them in order that they arrived which also saves the best for last!

First on Thursday from Amazon I finally got a Cyberverse Gnaw brand new for under $13. They were only available for a very short time and I've only seen him once in stores so this was great. They've been selling for $20 and I've considered a bunch of times to pay that much so this was great! He also shipped in a freak'n BOX instead of a padded envelope.

And from eBay on Thursday I got a Combiner Wars Hot Rod from an actual auction for under $10 so less than original retail. Won it at $5.50 with $4.40 shipping so no complaints, really didn't expect to win it. He'll probably be hanging out with Selects Star Convoy.

First thing this morning I was able to score a reissue Soundwave for only $13 and surprisingly they still had two more, couldn't believe it. I already have one I paid $30 for after Christmas, but I haven't opened it yet so I'll just open the best of the two. No picture, everyone knows what that looks like.

And finally, this is the big one, both literally and figuratively:

Energon Omega Supreme! Price? Under $70 on eBay, free shipping, complete, no damage, instructions included, as a store item not a n auction. Couldn't believe it. These often go for double that price, I had to read the auction several times to make sure I was seeing it right. It was one of those listings where they put a couple dozen things in one listing and you choose from a drop down menu so it probably got overlooked. Listing said it had "shelf wear" whatever that is, there's a couple small scuffs, but they looked like they came from the factory. Also said the head's ball joints were loose, but only when his arms are out to the side, they're fine otherwise. Just super happy to finally have the big guy in my collection after all these years!

Despite having Platinum Omega Supreme first, I managed to get myself an Energon Omega Supreme. I really love having both for the coloring and molding differences. Well worth owning in a collection.

And now that I finally have a proper and "real" Omega Supreme with the Siege Titan I will...
...still keep my Platinum and Energon Omega Supreme and never get rid of them.

From Target yes. they rang up my Sentinel at his sale balanced price too (~$22) so I'm hopeful it'll work out. By the sounds of it, everyone who got Scrapper had him delayed. Makes passing him up at Walmart this week a lot harder too.

Nice hauls! I too have an Omega that will be coming in a few weeks, and that is awesome that you got him at that price!

and your Rodimus? Mine is hanging out with Star Convoy too, they make a great pair!

Congrats on getting those Unicron trilogy figures guys! I did a small purge recently but those were spared on the fact that they arr too awesome not to have.
