Actually, the show models for the Tri-predicus council were supposed to look like the toys, but Mainframe like hit the deadline for the show and I think they also blew their budget for that season by that point. so they just threw some things together for their animation models

Then he would look like Christmas colors.Bumblevivisector wrote:OH, oh, right, the color scheme from The Agenda. For a second I thought he was supposed to be all bloody as a sort of Halloween gag.
I guess making a jet the color of the toy would look too much like Armada Thrust. Though in this scheme, his jet mode looks like it's supposed to be yet another Armada Starscream, which could be fixed by changing the yellow bits to a dash of his original green.

I'd... rather we not risk another incident like that again.SW's SilverHammer wrote:They should've seen if they could cast the wings in translucent plastic and then paint over them, similar to their machine wars skywarp.

The specific areas of Skywarp's wings that were supposed to represent his teleporting ability (as in, these parts were supposed to be fully translucent with no paint apps) got painted over in solid white, ruining the effect.SW's SilverHammer wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I'd... rather we not risk another incident like that again.SW's SilverHammer wrote:They should've seen if they could cast the wings in translucent plastic and then paint over them, similar to their machine wars skywarp.
How so? I never heard anything bad happening to the figure. Also if this an aesthetic thing, deco-ed clear wings on a jet character that eventually becomes a bug might not be bad.

Yeah, but, with what happened last time they tried "translucent wings with paint pattern" I'd rather they not risk making something go wrong again (as so recently happened with the black helmet sides of everyone's TFSS G2 Starscream).SW's SilverHammer wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The specific areas of Skywarp's wings that were supposed to represent his teleporting ability (as in, these parts were supposed to be fully translucent with no paint apps) got painted over in solid white, ruining the effect.SW's SilverHammer wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I'd... rather we not risk another incident like that again.SW's SilverHammer wrote:They should've seen if they could cast the wings in translucent plastic and then paint over them, similar to their machine wars skywarp.

Oh, see what I was thinking was cast the wings in translucent plastic and adding the line work of the bug wings to them.

The drill isn't from Fun Pub. It's believed to be preexisting tooling from Hasbro/Takara that hasn't been used yet.Hellscream9999 wrote:Delta Magnus wrote:So first they mistake the red light illuminating the Council as their actual colours (as opposed to, you know, colouring them like the actual toys). Well, what were you expecting, a drill gun? They said they were going to give us 5 new heads, so unless you're willing to skip the combiner head, one of them was always going to have a normal head
Besides, there's not much precedent (like, none at all actually to my knowledge) of them doing any re-tooling besides heads, so Ramhorns drill would be a first.
