"I've been very carefully inspecting it. As many have noted, chipping/flaking is always an issue with stuff like this. I'm not even going to attempt to fully transform either piece.
That said, here's what I've found:
Most of the pieces are definitely vacuum-metalized. Some pieces appear to have been painted by hand. All of the "chrome" colored pieces (grill, tanks, guns, etc) are vacuumed. Where you can see a definite difference is in anything that's red in color. Some pieces are vac, some painted. A few pieces look like they were either from stock or prototypes, and have been re-colored. If you look VERY closely, there is a faint outline of "flames" under the coating in a few spots. The other interesting thing is that the electronics in the vehicle mode version are functional. The robot version does not appear to have electronics installed - Kind of weird as that version has see-through windows on the chest, while the vehicle version has been plated over the windows.
Updated: Hands are vac-plated in blue, fingers are in black, molded plastic.
More details as I discover them..."

We're talking about a 12 hour difference at least. If the mods won't look for duplicate threads, why should we expect anyone to?

As I did post over at TFW2005, I have no plans of selling it. Even after I posting that, I'm still getting people tossing offers my way through PM's and MySpace.
Since a few people here have inquired on a few details, below I've copied over a response I posted on the other site. If anyone has specific questions about the figure, I'll be happy to answer.

I like the chrome color scheme, but I tell you what, I wouldn't scoff at a Movie accurate Chrome Flamed version either.. I love chrome and think it is the one feature that to this day is left off a collector's item, and granted it flakes off, but "Collector's Item" means to me, display, but not for play!!!
