So this IS our classics Overlord.
"Overlord" is his American name too. "Gigatron" is just a lesser-known alternate name that was given to his Heroes of Cybertron figure. But his Masterforce toy was releasedi n Europe as "Overlord".

Overlord was a:
- baseformer
- triplechanger (quintiple if we count the separate vehicle modes as two and the united vehicle mode as another)
- double powermaster
- duocon
- bada$$
now, that mold is not even close. Plus, he didn't even nearby sport swords - he has a BFG and a plane that could be used as shield. Where's the homage in that chewed piece of bubblegum?
bvzxa wrote:While the homage is ok using the Bludgeon/BanzaiTron mold, this is really just Giga. Why they put "tron" at the end to confuse people I don't know because Giga"tron" was Megatron's name in CarRobots/RID.
There is no "tron" anywhere, it's just Giga (tank), Mega (jet), merge into Overlord.

Doesn't change my position on the bad figure choice... but switch the faction symbols and you'd have an honorable and heroic samurai doppelganger.
No. SG Bludgeon is a rootin-tootin' cowboy tank. Repurposed from RiD Destructicon Bludgeon.

They said Terradive came out too late to be used.

They're the group who runs BotCon (since 2005) and creates the exclusive figures for each convention.
