That's a very optimistic way to look at it.On the other hand, you could be like Luther Van Damme me, and say that the movie line is polluting Generations and will spell its ultimate demise.
Or maybe vice-versa with "Skrapnel" having been an early working name for Sharpshot, since we've seen more official source use "Sharpshot" and that was the name used in FOC.Mkall wrote:It seems that Sharpshot's name is now Skrapnel.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

They do the upscaling/simplification/cheapening/ruining forever only for Prime. Generations is unaffected.

Don't remember hearing that at the panel.xyl360 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Being a Hall of Fame winner doesn't equal getting a new toy.xyl360 wrote:I also heard somewhere that since he won the fan's choice vote @Botcon that he'd be receiving a proper new mold all his own rather than being a repaint/retool of Grimlock.
I never said it did, but I do recall reading it being reported that someone from Hasbro at the show said as much (that he'd be getting his own new mold because of winning the fan's choice poll).

He wasn't a winner. He was an auto-inductee.Fires_Of_Inferno wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Being a Hall of Fame winner doesn't equal getting a new toy.xyl360 wrote:I also heard somewhere that since he won the fan's choice vote @Botcon that he'd be receiving a proper new mold all his own rather than being a repaint/retool of Grimlock.
Unless you're Optimus Prime.

Actually, if the economy were booming, we'd be seeing a lot more variation in figures and new characters instead of so many repaints/slight remolds. That's one of the reasons why I was so surprised by Sandstorm.
