Greetings all

I was wondering if there was a third party gun for MP Grimlock which is in all black and/or gunmetal gray rather than transparent like the one that comes with the figure. I realize I could always just paint it, but if there's a really nice 3rd party option out there, I'd rather have that instead.

No, there are options for FOC Grimlock, but I don't think those would fit.

I am not aware of anything for him, either. But really, mold wise, his original gun suits him well. I think the clear works well on this gun, and I'm not a big fan of clear plastic when it serves no purpose. Of course, here it does facilitate a light-up gimmick. And even if not using that gimmick, as the emitters on a laser weapon the clear can make sense in my mind. But if you dislike it, at least black is an easy color to match if you did wish to resort to painting it. (I got the impression that was far from your preferred option, but in a choice between painting or nothing you may prefer painting.)

MP Grimlock needs that missile launcher....."Galaxial" rocket launcher from the G-1 toy to make him perfect!

Quite surprising no 3rd party company has attempted to upsize it yet. As for the gun's (Stunner rifle) transparency, it was made that way for the light piping gimmick.
