Conflict, or more accurately differing of opinions, are what give forums life.
I don't think i'd want to see a forum where everybody got a long and agreed on everything.

Wow! True! The forum would be boring and there would be nothing to talk about. And the forum would die in a giant pit of everlasting fiery doom.
*Probably*

I don't think it will last that long. It's already going off topic and dying. The flames have been put out.
Oh ye of little faith, give it time. When it comes to Movie-verse vs Traditional-verse, there are no shortage of flames. In fact another whole new thread already started about yet another G1/Movie conflict....I think it should be merged with this said thread. A Thread...combiner if you will lol
I was just talking about this thread's flames, not the whole conflict.

I bet in 20 years we'll all look back on the movies and all the arguments and laugh.

I have my issues with the movie and I let my opinion be known, but a lot of things that I have and will say again in the future about the movieverse, is because I already know the reaction I'm going to get and it makes me chuckle. It's all in fun.

So, you take pleasure in pissing people off, causing them to slit their wrists, get piss drunk, smash their TVs, want to forget, punch holes in walls, and have suicidal thoughts? AWESOME!

You must be new to the fandom, people have been yelling "RUINED FORVER!!!!!" about everything since 1986.

Good point. If everyone had the same opinion, there would be no forums at all. And if everyone all agreed on everything, we would have a rather boring atmosphere of nothingness instead of the world we live in. Conflicts can be good in many situations.

He has a tendency to repeat my points. It's understandable, i'm cool, people want to be cool as me.

So close to Christmas! I still say this thread be combined with others, like the new random post of some guys letter to McBay about the disappointing teaser trailer which had it's debut this winter.
Bradimus wrote:I thought the premise of this thread was innocent enough. OptiMaguns10 just wanted to know why some people who absolutely hate the movies feel they need to hate on people who don't hate the movies. Of course, being the Internets and all, there was much explosion just like a Michael Bay movie. And since Al Gore invented the Internets, this explosion has further expanded his personal carbon footprint. Thus, this thread has now transcended from our plane of existence back into the Allspark of Primus himself. So, basically, OptiMagnus10 made Al Gore blow up Primus through the work of Michael Bay.
Everybody got that?

I lost you on the fourth sentence there.

Beginning with the premise that anything discussed on an Internet message board has the potential to blow up into something else entirely (thus the mention of Michael Bay), here is the explanation of my analogy:
When Gore was running for president somehow he either said or someone attributed to him the quote that he created the Internet (during his time in congress when the original network system created for the purpose of allowing the military to communicate in another way in case of emergency was beginning to expand into something bigger thanks to some college campuses).
I use the term Internets because that's a reference to a W. Bush slip up (a fun joke whether one agrees or disagrees with his policies).
Finally, Gore became Mr. Green Energy save the planet from Global Warming aka Climate Change (because heaven forbid our whether has a cyclical pattern of its own and humans have very little to do with how that cycle works, but try explaining common sense to scientists who alter data to prove they are correct) after he lost his campaign, but has a carbon footprint larger than some cities from his mansion alone, forget any other property he has or use of transportation to travel the world to champion his cause.
So, understanding the back story to my comments, the paragraph I wrote will hopefully make you ROTFLYAO!
OptiMagnus10 wrote:Bush: Heh. Heh. Internets. I like sayin' Internets.
Okay I'm done with that. But yes, now this makes sense (in which I believe global warming is just a pattern).
I'm not a fan of Gore either anyway.
