Then you must have a different way of analyzing it, because looking too closely into it tends to cause people to hate the movies. (How did they walk out of the Smithsonian in DC and end up in Arizona?)

Because it's called fiction.

But then that's not over analyzing. Even so, being fiction does not give a story instant forgiveness for plot holes like that.

But do little things like that really ruin the entire movie? All I really care about is the storyline and the characters.

And all I really care about is the explosions. If you want a story, read a book, and if you want interactive...ness and depth, play a video game.

I thought ROTF had a good storyline though. And good explosions...and lots of them. I love explosions, and that's why I pay good money to see and purchase Michael Bay movies and play TF and other combat video games (like Call of Duty, MAG, HAWX, WFC, etc)

I liked the story in ROTF too. There just aren't many stories that I care about. Anything that has to do with any kind of alien/gov't conspiracy is really the only type of story I care about.

I used to like alien movies but everything looks the same to me nowadays. Although I always watch stuff on History or Discovery or whatever obout alien cover-ups.

Me too. And no one ever makes movies about that stuff! Some one needs to make a movie about real life encounters. That would be the greatest movie evar.

Isn't there supposed to be a movie coming out soon about that type of thing? Super 8 or something?

But that's the problem; some people don't want brainless movies like Michael Bay makes, and they're unhappy with the Transformers movies as a result.

They're all too busy seeking the imperfections in their mission to make Michael Bay look bad so the fandom will boycott it and rid the TF universe of something "impure".
No one believes me, but I've talked to people who wish to do this.

"War" does not mean "Depth."

No, there isn't. I know you think there is, but there isn't. I like ROTF, and I still recognize it's a big dumb action flick.

Shadowman: Where is the word "depth" in my sentence? I never compared war to depth, but I think the haters exaggerate like there's no story at all, and that explosions and war are the extent of the movie. No, it's not as smart as Inception, and no movie is near that, but more went into ROTF then many many sci-fi action movies in my opinion. But that's my opinion.

Okay, to not contradict the subject of the thread, or have Burn argue with me like he used to, here's my two cents in summary:
ROTF has imperfections, but so do many movies. It is not the best movie ever made in my opinion, but it is very far from the worst. I do, however, believe that it's horridness is incredibly exaggerated. If anyone wishes to challenge that, fine, I don't give a slag, because I'm not here to change opinions. Just at least let me enjoy my Transformers, please. I also ask that people stop forcing validation of fanism and to cease accusations of being "not true fans". That is all I ask.

Look I loved ROTF I have it on DVD along with the 1st film and also GI Joe Rise of Cobra which I also enjoyed cant wait for the sequel.

I have a name for the sequel to GI Joe calling it Fall of Demoracy sense Zartan is impersonating the President this could give Cobra full control of the US goverment and brand GI Joe as renagades in movie 2.

I love all of this stuff I whish people would stop oh this suck that sucked I hated this one and I loved this one.

Oh I am worried that DOTM will suck and not be on par with the other films.

Look we cant bash something until we see the final product in its final form at the release of it in theateres. Also you cant judge something from a trailer either cause they just show clips to give us a bases on a glimpse if you will like they do with video games now such as Mass Effect and others like X-Men Destiny a preview to wet our appetite.

Like with Prime we cant bash it yet cause it hasnt even taken off yet only the pilot 5 episode deal we have no clues on what the future of Prime will bring us but I am super excited for Prime this show is going to Kick-Ass.

I am a G1 Faithul a G1 original this year marks my 25th anniversary of being with transformers I was 5 years old when this all began.

I remember playing with my toys like Fotress Maximus and Sixshot back in the days ah good times now I feel like a kid again cause all the toys I loved are coming back in style for the new modern age with a new look and I am loving it.

With Toys and comics and new video games I feel like I am re-living my youth again except we didnt have games back then mostly just the toys and comics and the show.

I am quite excited for the future of transformers quite bitching sit back and enjoy the ride.

People are allowed to express their opinions, whether it's for or against.

No one forces you to read them.

I was 9. What's your point? 'cause you seem to say that similar line in numerous threads.

I am just excited for 2011 from the new Primes coming out to DOTM and also WFC 2.

I dont care about all this crap or people whining about this that or the other I am really excited for 2011.

V is back on, Smallville is kickin into high-gear with this being its final season, Young Justice is going to be really good when it gets going. Also Clone Wars is awesome once again with Dath Mauls Brothers and the Nightsisters being in it no telling what is instore for Season 3.

V is going to be awesome now with Anna mother from the original V back if she is anything like the daughter she is going to be 10x worser than the daughter is.

Also we have tons of awesome games for 2011 from Mortal Kombat being reborn to Mass Effect 3 and X-Men Destiny.

Then we have one of the best movie years ever from X-Men 1st Class to DOTM then Green Latern and Thor to Captain America then Pirates 4 and Conan with Jason Momoa from Antlantis as Conan.

2011 could be the best year ever plus we dont know what this year's E3 will bring us. Or do we know what future projects are instore for us from Transformers such as Toys or new releases on DVD.

Be awesome if we got the Japanese sets, Animated S3, RID or re-releases of Beast Wars and Armada.

If RID was released I would buy that in a heart beat I havent seen this show sense it was last on the Fox Box which was a couple of year ago.

Whew! Different thread, same argument...My work is never done...

I watch ROTF a lot...and while there are things about it I don't like, there's some really cool ideas in there. Over Thanksgiving I watched an "Ancient Aliens" marathon and realized where some of the ideas came from. Pretty fascinating stuff if you're interested in that sort of thing.

I like the movies, and while they are not the greatest movies ever, they did remind me of my dormant love for Transformers. After I saw ROTF - not the first movie - I ran up into the attic and re-read the comics, and I remembered the joy I had when I was younger. I remember me and a friend coming up with our own comic - and while it was pretty terrible, I loved having my imagination fed like that!

I was entertained by the movies. I was moved to rediscover my love for Transformers. I'm so looking forward to the new movie. I'm excited to see what's waiting for us in the future!

People are allowed to express their opinions here. There's a lot of opinions I don't agree with, and I've had a few that weren't liked either (no one liked my Rodimus idea from the DOTM trailer...but I see a lot of others have come to that conclusion on their own.) and that's fine. But I never intentionally insulted anyone for not thinking the same way I do. In fact, sometimes I've changed my mind.

So, treat others the way you want to be treated. Discuss to your heart's desire. Voice your opinions. Say what you like and don't like. Just don't rip each other apart for having an opinion you don't like. I like a good heated argument! I don't like seeing fans try to humiliate and disrespect each other.

And that, All, is my opinion! :D
