A lot less of the emo bullshit that this forum has descended to in recent weeks for a start, then maybe, just maybe, this former community might just become a decent place again.

Or am I asking too much?

And what about the Maximals trying to build a community?
Sure GP wasn't around alot and didn't really do anything, but he was a figurehead, a name people recognized and (some)respected...
By leaving the Maximals he could have easily demoralized them and caused more and more of them to want to give up and defect back to where they came from therfor destroying all the others attempts at community building.

I was pissed because his move was selfish, putting himself over what was best for his faction especially when both beast factions are having a hard enough time trying to convince people that we shouldn't be disbanded.(I wonder if he even gave them a heads up this was coming Image )

Ah hell, I'm supposed to be staying out of this...

With any luck, the transition went smoothly; and defections will become an option again. I dare say that'll help a bit.

Of course, when maximal and predacon are offered to brand new players as faction choice, then the numbers will start going up dramatically.

I find that funny. Even in an online war game, the majority of the opposing forces are faceless (to us) meatbags with guns :-?

Yeah, though it does kind of add a weird sense of realism to the game. I guess that makes regular posters the equivalent of well known generals or air/tank aces? 8)

He said he won't be returning to the message boards for a while. That is why he hasn't responded.

To be fair, he did say that he wouldn't be visiting this forum for a while (give'm a day or two)
I don't know about anyone else but I'm not bothering to PM him.
The opinions expressed in this post are well-reasoned and insightful.
Needless to say, they are not those of SEIBERTRON.COM, its staff members, or any other site lackeys.
Anyone who says otherwise is itching for a fight.

As an active poster turned daily lurker I'd say, yes.

Yes, you seem to be asking too much.

The level of hate/pessimism/apathy and general bitching has risen to a new high... one unlike any other I've seen in all my years on this site.

That's what happens on a forum dedicated to a game that turns on and off more regularly than a traffic light turns green. The uncertainty factor is at the back of everyone's minds which unavoidably leaks into posts and attitudes.

I think the entire idea of defection is ridiculous, other than helping the beast factions out with numbers. If you pick a side, you stay with a side. If defection was that easy, every newb and quitter would defect each time their faction has ten less arena wins than the other.

Looking through your beer goggles again Sharpwing?

Risen to an all new high? ummmmm no. I actually think the forums are the most quiet and peaceful i've ever seen. Or do you forget a few years ago when the level bullies and overampers were running rampant? Do you forget the animosity generated following Dark Tidings?

Dunno what the hell you're seeing but the forums seem bloody good to me. Perhaps you should try joining in instead of standing on the outside looking in?

Hey, I'm just pointing out what I'm noticing over the last few weeks (don't blame the messenger).

For a game - and a forum for that matter - that is so inactive when compared to more active (DT) times there's relatively much bitching going on (about GP, Kremzeek etcetera etcetera).

As for joining in/playing again? -Meh (Apathy, I know, I know).

Just examples dude, just examples.

It's like small things lingering and eventually culminating into a big outburst (my examples).

I've been around long enough to distinguish a negative vibe from a more laid-back and relaxed vibe or even a normal vibe on this board.

*shrugs* Looks like the same ole vibe to me. Some threads about bragging, the usual we need this stuff and a few threads about something 'major' going down. Looks and feels like it always does except the game is actually up for once. :P

Spare your fingers the hassle.

Some people have never been able to tell the difference between posts that are intended to better the game and ungrateful bitching.

So GP still cant decide which way the whistle blows. I guess if people have such a disslike for his decision means they are scared of the size of his whistle, or at least the size of the whistle he blows!!!! We all have a choice and with a pertition valid enough to change our minds. Validity is a matter of perspective, but regardless of which democracy dictates respect for an opposing one none the less.

Long Live GP!!!!

Can i be a Predacon? OH! Wait! Im not quite suicidal yet!

Yeah, your right, except about the Sade depending on your point of view! Burn does :-? :???: say  apol :-( :? sometimes back off. It has even been known for him to back down when he is wrong! But like a Dingo he does stand his ground which is to be admired and commended. The fortitude of the Burn is second to none.

Has this become more Burn than GP yet and needs locking?
