So, Psych has brought a request to me. He would like to coordinate event-related planning in Iacon. While I have no problem doing this myself, and have to this point, I'm also extremely busy with classes, commuting, working, upholding leadership in an international honor society, and multiple life complications unrelated to these aforementioned responsibilities. I imagine it's been noticed that I'm not around as often as I used to be, but I definitely make the time to be here and will be here as much as I'm able.

I may not be around when I need to be, however, such as when events launch or to gather necessary feedback from the community quickly. This is a bit inconvenient for him in planning.

Psych had access to the Iacon forums for a very long time, when he was a moderator, and he upheld fairness to the best of my knowledge. In this, he's asked that I gather thoughts in Iacon, as he would be able to see our event progress and wants to make sure everyone is alright with this.

Thoughts and suggestions are welcome. I am open to both. Also, the poll has been set where you can change your choices should you desire to do so.

I'm all for it.
Psych was a great Mod before and I trust him.
I always bounce my bad ideas off him before I do them

Just to clarify here, it's not about him becoming a Moderator again (at this stage I don't feel the site needs any more Moderators), but rather just having access to the Iacon Forum so that he can monitor/maintain events.

He'd be a good back up mod but even just having Iacon access should be fine.
He's RDD, he knows how to keep a secret & compartmentalize knowledge.

I know there are enough of us online for psych to ask how things are going when wings is busy. We should step up when she can't be here. I am not doubting the fairness of psych but more of us taking care of our own.

If I'm understanding your suggestion correctly, your reason for disagreeing with the idea is twofold:

1) You feel that more people stepping up to assist would raise community activity, such as Psych reaching out to different people as well as promoting initiative my members.

2) You feel we should look after our own before having someone else come in to do so for us. In this case, it would mean the community stepping up to help support me while I'm busy before having Psych step in to do so.

I can actually appreciate this viewpoint quite a lot. The camaraderie is very touching This faction has been more active of late, as well...so I can see it being quite easy for Psych to get the information he needs.

I'd like to see how others feel about this idea, also, and if there would be volunteers.

Seems like an extra (unnecessary) step but if it's something people are more comfortable with I'm willing.

I don't see comfort as being the concern, as it was stated that he isn't doubting Psych's fairness. It feels more like a suggestion for strengthening the faction through the contribution.

I understand both sides to this, which is why I'm interested to see how others feel about it.

The simplest ways for people to step up to if they feel like the Autobots should would be to simply get off your duffs and post in GD or message Psych.

Having Psych get access to Iacon for the means of running the games seems pretty common sense, and can eliminate the problem of telephone tag, where someone misremembers or mistypes something, and a clear understanding isn't established. If it's going to make it easier and more fluid for the running of the games, I'm all for it.

For example while he was trying to wrap things up he was asking me info that I couldn't remember via fb (I was out in an area with spotty signal)
Eventually I was able to connect and get him the info he needed but it'd be a heck of a lot easier/faster if he could have just done it himself instead of waiting for one of us to respond to him (especially if it's via PM's here since most of yinz don't faceypage.)

The Autobot faction of RDD supports allowing fellow RDD mate Psychout into Iacon.

We promise no shenanigans nor tomfoolery. But we can't promise no mischief or malarky.

I have no issue with Psych having access to the forum. It will only improve the events and the overall the game itself. It's not like we are forming secret plans over here......

I think it will only help the community.

I have been working with psych on some ideas and helping him with the numbers of the last war, when Wingz and Bun were MIA with RL. Not that difficult.

I get along with the cons, we need them, just as much as they need us.

Guess my hat is in the ring for savior too..

You don't need to be a saviour to liaise with Psych for the events. It's why "Liaisons Officer" is a thing in so many organisations.

You shouldn't pick on Alldarker, though he was a false saviour.

I liase with Psych all the time. WarPorn has been very giving when it comes to saving the downtrodden of Iacon.
