What (if any) plans have you made for your collection? I've no idea how you'd ship something like that!

Congrats. I know how slow paperwork can be a lot of the time. Just out of curiosity, I understand if you don't want to answer, how much is it going to cost to ship all your things here?

All of the US based Seibertronians will feel a disturbance in the force when she arrives in Texas.
Something along the lines of...
"Thousands of Mini-Cons in dollar stores and Goodwill shops cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced."

You think you're joking.

At least I know what bait to use in case the rabbitcatgirl reverts to her criminal Communist ways and has to be apprehended. It pays to think ahead.

OK, first the good news: progress! I've passed initial checkups, all payments have been dealt with (Tip: they only accept IE for internet payments. Damn you Bill Gates!) and now, the next major obstacle: forms with legalese. And we kinda need help with some of the legal definitions to avoid any screw-ups. Thing is, the ones who helped us before can't provide any since they're "legal documents", so we have to look elsewhere...

JelZe I can't help but feel your dealing with the wrong people. Start complaining to the Congressmen/women from her home state, federal and state. Write a few nicely worded letters to the US ambassador to the Netherlands, that is where you live isn't it? Cause frankly this is taking a ridiculous amount of time.

Considering the reputation government has for things like this--actually, come to think of it, for just about everything--I'd say he's getting the fast track. Passing the buck is just par for the course in bureaucracies.

Sent in what hopefully is the final paperwork, the Affidavit of Support documents. This is actually the second time we had to send it in, the first contained a very minor error ("N/A"| instead of the required "0") so we were told to send it in again. Apparently government are pedantic about rules and procedures anywhere and not just here in the Netherlands. It's gotten to the point the process of bringing my wife over was easier than me going over there. Go figure.

I also shipped my Transformers overseas in a container.
I reccomend the REALLY BIG Box. And lots of packing materials.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:The moment is finally here: I just received my Immigrant Visa!
Yup, I'm now free to go to the United States of America! In fact I have to be there before August 17th when it expires. Plenty of time to figure out how I'm gonna get all of my junk over there...

In all seriousness, I would suggest packing like you were gonna sell them. (Don't, unless there's really something you thin you don't want. Just pack like it. Shipping and Handling can be extremely hard on items, and things happen. On that same note, if they offer insurance on however you ship your schtuff, furniture, clothing included, I would highly reccomend you do it. The best case scenario is that you don't need it, and that everything arrives safe and sound. The worst case scenario,
