If you have taken Megatron out of the box and played around with him, what is your opinion? I'm constantly tempted, but I just cannot convince myself that he's worth the $40.

I haven't taken the time to transform him yet (as I display my figs in bot-mode), but he is quite fun to mess around with. He has a butt-load of features. His right hand came out into the chain thing and I can't figure out how to get it back into his arm.

One thing I found after opening him that made me relieved was that the red spike things on his shoulders go down when you depress the switch on his chest. Those are rediculous and I'm glad they can hide. I decided to buy him after reading this:

My son (4 yrs old) just got Leader Megs from a family friend for his b-day. I gotta say it's a pretty cool toy.

The thing is a BRICK, I swear it weighs a good amount. Not only that but it is huge in ship-mode. It's got a wing-span of a good 13 or so inches.

The only part I had a problem with was figuring out how his legs turned underneath his wing to pin correctly when transforming him to ship-mode. After about 20+ minutes of messing with it (and cussing under my breath) I finally got it.

The tethered mace thing is actually kinda dumb IMO. If you haven't discovered yet, the case on his arm pops open to store the cable in once you're done messing with it.

Is it worth 40 bucks? I would say yes if you're a big fan of the character. My son has a BUNCH of TFs (mostly the movie related ones from the deluxe line, a couple of classics and some real gears) and this one is probably his new favorite.

What's not to love? Lights, sound, it's HUGE and c'mon...it's MEGATRON! 8)

After Transforming Leader Megs, I have to say that the vehicle mode is stupid. It doesn't really resemble the movie model at all, it's incredibly bulky, and Meg's head sitting right on top looks dumb. It also took me about 45 minutes to convert and that's with the none-to-helpful instructions.

But bot mode is sweet all in it's own. I did figure out how to shove that "chain" back into his arm. I'm actually thinking about removing the pods from his arms and the wing structures so he looks more like his CGI model.

Man... Just got a refund from Ebay. Got my money back in full, but... I scored a Cybertron Nemesis Breaker off Ebay for $18. Day after payment clears, dude contacts me to let me know "...my computer says I have two in stock, but I can't find them anywhere. I've refunded your money through paypal. I am so verry sorry..."

*Sigh* This forum needs to allow swear words. Because I've got a few on the tip of my tongue right now...

At any rate... I picked up Movie Scout Assistant Armorhide from Target.

Bought MPSS off a guy on another forum. Only cost me $70 :) See, I figure, I was planning on paying $60 + tax anyway, so paying what would be an extra $5 or so to not have to go to Wal*Mart is worth it.
