I was talking with some friends and thought it would be really funny to do this.

For Transformers: Animated, create a new character based on a Farm Combine and make him an old friend of Bulkhead's from the "Energon Farm". Give him John Deere colors and use Cybertron Thundercrackers voice in the series and we have a winner!

Why is it so insanely big?

It's a stripmining vehicle IIRC. Rather than try to dig through an area they just follow that thing as it tears up large sections of land and dumps it on the ground as loose rock they can pick through.

I actually find the concept rather depressing.
