I pretty much wrapped these up tonight, went real smooth. Valkfans great custom heads make it easy.

I added my reprolabel Jazz Alternator in there too, still one of the best upgrade sets out there IMO.

Wow, those are pretty awesome

Still, you might need to colour the blue parts so that it dosnt stand out and makes it obivious that that's prime, Nevertheless. Nice work

Thanks, I plan on painting a lot of that blue into dark grey on Ironhide and maybe painting Ratchets hands red along with a few other small parts.

Both actually turned out much better than I expected.

For Ratchet I used the already white KO binaltech Hound BTW.

Those are rather impressive even though I'm not a fan of the alternators

That Ratchet is great! I'd actually buy that if they released it as a BT

Thanks, they are several KO binaltechs out there, red Shockwave, yellow Hound, etc. Pretty decent quality, die-cast metal just like real binaltechs.

Thanks, I have reprolabel license plates coming for both robots. Ironhide is a Texas plate, and Ratchet is an Oregon plate. I'll get some more pics then.

Here is what I have so far on the hardtop roof for Ratchet.
In robot mode the hardtop simply hangs off of his front windshield, pretty tightly I might add. Perfect fit.

I haven't painted any of the window trim or instaled the plastic windows yet but you get the picture.

What kinda paints did you use on Ratchet and how did you apply it? It looks so smooth.

The only thing I had to paint was Ratchets head. The KO Binaltech Hound comes painted in white already, I just added the red model stripes and cross decals.

Awesome I love that you didn't just use the scion mold for them. The scion is cool and all but I like the variety.

these are so great! nice clean work and yeah valkfan's heads are pretty sweet. I'm so glad I didn't start buying this line when it came out. I would be in world of financial hurt. maybe a little happier though :-?
