I have finally finished my first Alternator custom, Motormaster. I have to say, its amazing what the "leg mod" does for this mold, it looks ten times better thanks to the proportions just from having longer thighs! I've painted him up as close as you possibly can to the original motormaster whilst maintaining a realistic alt mode. I did color the windows with a purple tint, but my rationale was that you see lots of vehicles that have had tinted windows for awhile and the tint has turned purple. haha Anyway, here you go with robotmode pictures (will do vehicle later, I want to apply another clearcoat to it first):
glad to see a silver motor master as opposed to all the black convoys, nemesis primes, black obtains and what not. Plus, since you were repainting the whole thing you probably didn't have to waist a comicon exclusive.
exactly right. this was just a red optimus prime. I dyed all the blue parts black before I painted anything, so those parts I don't have to wrory about wear from TFing it.

just RIT dye. you can get it in a liquid or a powder. at any craft stores or walmart. walmart has it with the laundry detergent. a capful of acetone plus a whole packet if you use powder, or 4 capfuls if you go liquid.
I've tried to find info regarding the leg mod you used. The alt mod post lists the mods but I haven't been able to open the links to the posts of mods.
I plan on turning my Prime into Rodimus, modding the bumper/lights to roll forward with the yellow winged spoiler possibly made into the interior of the doors so it would show with the doors folded behind him. Goingwith a burnt metallic orange with flames for the vehicle. And I like the leg mod and how it improved the overall look of the legs.
