If it helps your opinion at all, remember they are usung this mold because of the hand claw gimmik to mirror his spider claws. Probably using the same tool as Rook.

So... we know Hasbro basically said last year there was no plans for any Beast/Animal Combiners...

However...Does anyone think this Bot Con Exclusive has potential to lead to the release of new CW figures for the "Dynobots" (pre earth Dinobots), or perhaps G1 Predacons (Predaking) pre earth modes?

Truth be told, I'd much have a true G1 Predaking, Abominus, Piranacon etc... But unless Hasbro changes their minds, not likely to happen.

This is definitely a combiner where the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts.

Fantastic head sculpt and new paint decco on the chest, along with the tight shared colour scheme of the arms and legs really makes a handsome looking bot.

Though we did see Tarantulas's 5 fingered pre-beast hands in the show, I like this line of thought. That actually does help with that mould choice. Thanks.

This is like 20 times better than I thought it could be and I *want* it. Almost as much as I wish they would do a special rerelease of the DoFP box set.

Combined mode doesn't look bad at all; I actually like it! But unfortunately, I'm just not into this set for no particular reason.

Though I guess I'm a little mad at Predacus for being painted better on the torso than Scattershot who greatly needed it in torso mode, but understandably FunPub isn't aiming for the average consumer, so...

Ha, I'm amazed the chest isn't remolded in anyway. Superion has simply always had a bug chest!

The rest of (Tri)Predacus is equally amazing. Never would've thought drabby Ravage and Tarantulas would look cohesive with the bright red Counsel Trio, but sure enough that smart use of blue and black ties it all together. I still wish they went with toy colors, but man they really made it work.
And that head design! Mmm-mmmm!

I'm glad so many people are reconsidering the set now that the combined mode is shown off. this thing really did come together very well!

Ram Horn seems to be using another Breakdown hand instead of Brawl's. Wonder if that's how they plan to do the final release, or someone just goofed.

Either way, though, I hope I manage to get a hold of this one (sadly broke right now). It's beautiful.

Here's hoping that Botcon also has two Autobot limbs from Beast Wars and a replacement head piece for Superion, so you can make a "modern" Magnaboss to match Predacus using Voyager CW Silverbolt, Deluxe CW Prowl, Deluxe CW Ironhide, and two stand-ins. Maybe Tigatron and Airazor from a Deluxe Stunticon and Aerialbot mold, respectively? All 5 of those characters have palettes that mostly line up with Magnaboss. Kinda.

Sort of. Tripledacus (note the "L") is the Maximal "Jointron" team from BWII. They're entirely different characters (and terrible Mexican stereotypes), but the deco isn't nearly as subtly different as the Japanese Magnaboss, which is basically the same with some extra paint aps (but different characters as well).

That new head looks exactly like the kind of cartoony exaggerated look that Mainframe would have rendered Tripredacus's head in had Tripredacus appeared in the cartoon.

Eh, for what it's worth, they're pretty funny stereotype or nah. Really builds their fun characteristics lol

If the rumors are true there wont be a SS 5.0 or even a BotCon in 2017.

Except they've already confirmed FSS5.0, and we're supposed to be seeing our first glimpse of It in next month's magazine.


Also, for what it's worth, FSS5.0 isn't supposed to be a full on combiner, but will feature some CW molds. So maybe we'll get something in there to make a Magnaboss? Personally my fingers are crossed for a Tigatron from Ravage, but I'm hoping that drops in the Botcon souvenirs!
Other than that Predacus looks great and I can't wait to pick mine up!

That sharks mouth looks hideous. Im not a fan of the goofy cartoony smile and I think Transformers look stupid with teeth. A face like that belongs on a TMNT or MOTU action figure, not a robot. Funpub crossed the stupid line and took the term "beast wars" a little too literally in my opinion.
