Perhaps it#s because I'm younger and less deluded by rose-tinted spectacles.

The only radio interview Akroyd did that mentioned ghostbusters was saying that Universal purchased the rights from Sony to do a Ghostbusters Game, and that Akroyd would be doing voice and mocap work for them in the next year.

I have only seen a few episodes of Extreme Ghostbusters and I thought it was pretty good.

I saw this on Ghostbusters.net the other day, but was skeptical. This seems to come up all the time and then go away. I'm still skeptical.
I didn't like the early script overview for III (where basically a new team of Ghostbusters go to Hell - which is overcrowed, so Hades is deporting the dead to NYC.)
I guess the CGI is okay, because we can still have the same characters... but nothing beats live action, especially Murray's physical performance. Ghostbusters is a tricky property though, because it has to stay grounded or it becomes ridiculous. CGI might take it in the direction of pure action camp, not straight comedy with a hint of action which worked so well.
I'm torn on this one.

Then agin, the cartoon kicked all kinds of multiple ass, so who know?
Damn, now I gotta go put the DVD in and watch it.
