Anyone else think their local Walmart has dropped the TF ball?

Feel free to discuss anything about any of the thousands of Transformer toys here. Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? Please post your's and see others in the Transformers Collections Forum.

At this point I would even be willing to buy the Easter baskets with the knock-off Dinobot transformers but all they ever put in those thngs are those crappy plastic cars & trucks or the little bowling sets with the ball and pins and yes,I've checked K-mart for the Dinobot K.O.'s which from what I've read from other people are the only stores that carry them but not in my area.

I went to Charleston SC and they had Wreck-gar and G2 Prime at the Target in Summerville. When I came back home to Raleigh everywhere still had old stuff. Wally in every city I stopped in had old RTS and Wave 3 PCC repaints. wave 2 I see was still at Target.

I think Wally has given up on TF sales or they are trying to unload the bloat from wave one of everything.

My one hope is that the toy manager at a nearby Walmart took pity on me and said if he saw the waves with Scourge and Wreck Gar in he would pull one of each for me. I just hope the wave actually comes, and they are not trying some kind of holding pattern until DoTM toys come out...

I feel bad for you. I'm in a similar situation except Kohl's actually has RTS wave 1 in. Besides that, my area is very sluggish. I've been buying older stuff left and right but thet just put more old stuff out afterward.
However, I would count on Easter to bring in some stuff. I'm sure some parents will want to put a Tranformer or two in their son's Easter basket. If your suffering under the pegwarmer/shelfwarmer bug, it's probably going to take a sale or a few months to get those things out.
And unfortunately, they are probably buying sparingly until DOTM. These stores know that DOTM will be a craze again, so they don't want to have overstocked "blockage" on clearance on the week of May 16th onward. In my city, this happened in the ROTF NEST to TF 2010 line transition. We got the new line maybe a month or later after most places did because they had way too much ROTF stuff (which I wish I would have taken advantage of).
Please note: If you think I may be joking, I probably am.

I have to say that Walmart and 2 Targets close to where i live are not bad, and at least i see walmart employees always restocking something in the toy dept, but it may not be what i want, but at least i do see them restocking stuff. I would say TRU is the worst, i step into TRU on Saturday afternoon and i kid you not and swear, it was mostly ROTF stuff along with TRU exclusives like Bludgen w/ Whirl and even seen Darkwind and Countdown if that tells you anything and not only that no new Joes and Starwars section was 85% gone!!! I keep hearing TRU toy store is suppose to go out of business and wally is suppose to be the new toy store king, if TRU is gonne be like this and yes wally will win and game over for TRU.

Ugh. Went to the Englewood Walmart again, the one that mostly started this thread, and they put some deluxes out on the pegs. But almost every single one was Tuner Skids. Oddly, Elita One was there as well, first time I've seen her available. Too bad she's full of suck like the other two bikes.

Still no RTS. Didn't see any WFC figures at all this time, so that's a change. And Desert Crap Ratchet continues to warm the shelves.
