So my wife is over in Guangzhou, China for work and is planning to look for some TFs to bring home for me? Anyone know what's potentially available over there, if anything? I don't know if there would be a decent Takara selection like in Japan, just a bunch of knock-offs, slim pickin's, or otherwise... Anybody in the know? There doesn't look to be a China sightings section... Thanks.

My memory is a bit bad, but if she can make it to Hong Kong, and go to the same tower where the Official Lego store is, there's a toy store near it that has a massive amount of Transformers, limited and such. However, there's nothing really too different between HasTak figures now a days, to warrant buying figures overseas. Just my opinion.

My hope is for stuff that you would typically have to order from Robot Kingdom (or BBTS) at RK's prices, only without the shipping costs. Alternity, Henkei, Masterpiece, maybe even Sonokong or Car Robots, or Buster Prime...along those lines...ie stuff that's not readily available at retail here.

I don't know about mainland China, but Blurrz has it right, the good stuff is definitely in Hong Kong. You want to check out the Mongkok district.
