Are The Movie Legends Worth A Buy?
The Movie Legends seem easy to get, and maybe because they are $5 only, I thought of getting all of them.
Do you think this is a good idea? Or should I not waste my time on them?

go for 'em.... i mean theyre not that bad.... they maybe shouldve been priced like at 3$, or maybe even perfect as a happy meal toy. but i dont think 5$ is too much for them. jazz looks pretty cool too, but some look busted as heck(ratchet). but its your choice mostly. but just think, with 2 legends you can get a deluxe.

Ge t the Legends Bumbled. Optimus and Megatron are very good, Barricade looks better once he has been transformed correctly, Bumblebee is better than the Deluxe '74 Camaro figure, and pick your favourite shade of Green for Ratchet.
As for comparisons to the unleashed line: let's see now...
6 transformable toys that can fit into your pocket, and most of them look very good for $30-$35,
or
1 Unleashed; no transformation, badly painted statue/bookend, for $45-$50.

I have a few movie legends toys- Barricade, Megatron, and Prime. They are decent except that Prime really doesn't look accurate at all.
Anybody has Legends Starscream? How is he as a figure?

Correction 2 Unleashed... $35 ea, highly accurate and detailed. I will get a few Legends, but will go fr the Unleashed line first...i_amtrunks wrote:1 Unleashed; no transformation, badly painted statue/bookend, for $45-$50.

Dude, you're young, so we can still save your soul.
Legends = Transformers that transform.
Unleashed = Transformers that just sit there and go "look at me! I'm so pretty!"
Fight back against non-transforming junk! Save your soul while there's still time!

get them all except rachet. they make for good fun against supremes and generally a bigger figure.
i could write a 10 page rant against people comparing them to fast food toys.
take the burger king movie bumblebee.
take legends bumblebee.
the first just stands on a block that rotates to show a stock picture of a car.
the better one transforms, has a 3d reasonable accurate car mode, with goood robot articulation, easily modded legs to give knee action.
the crappier bumblebee has maybe 10 pieces at most, with no artiulation on the statue/figure itself
legends bumblebee has 17 plastic parts and 12 screws/rivets/pins.
would a happy meal toy really have that much engineering.
stupid idiots, comparing decent pocket treansformers to wastes of plastic distrubuted at reseraunts whech serve food that barely qualifys as such.
sorry to be so visious, but this guy needs to get out of his idiocy bubble

But they are pretty or in other words not pretty but really nice looking to me. You guys might not like them because they don't transform, although they are already Transformed with the turnarounds, but I know what you will say "where's the fun in that... hey at least they look more like a transformer in robot mode then a Legend toy that just has red, blue, yellow and whatever other colors there are just slapped on him. Take example for Barricade he just has a police sign on him with black paint slobbered all over him with silver claws and red knees. I find that really movie accurate don't you?... Not!Burn wrote:Dude, you're young, so we can still save your soul.

Barricade has more detail to him than that! But I guess since they are small figures they got no space for detail and for $5 over there in which is $7.99 here is a reasonable price. Besides I don't play with my toys anyway... I just leave them in a posed position all day long and they get Transformed like 10 times a year... thats it! But other than that they just stand there in Robot Mode.
Anyways I only asked the question are they worth a buy... not are Legends better than Unleashed.. or can someone help me save my soul from the Non Transforming Junk...

But I think I got my answer now... so thanks for helping

Hey you gotta understand that I grew up with Transformers that transformed, we didn't have these non-transforming things until Action Masters came along and we all know what happened after that!

I'm simply, not a fan of the statues and busts. Sure, they're great to look at, amazing detailing, but that's all you can do with them. Look at them. You can pose them, you can't transform them, and heaven forbid you drop some of those busts!

You watch though Bumbled, you'll come round to my way of thinking sooner or later and then you'll want to own all transforming Transformers.

Small, cute and cheap. Good buy overall if you want a quick TF fix like I do from time to time.

I really don't think the movie Legends are half as good as the Cybertron legends. Mainly because the LOC had something the LO"M" don't have.
Reasonable articulation.
Geez, even most minicons have more articulation than the movie Legends.
Having said that. I am currently fighting the urge to repaint Movie Legends Ratchet into Brawn. He's got the piece behind the head, a MUCH better robot mode than G1 Brawn, and if the little "emergency pulse" thingy is painted over, it could make a very serviceable 'safari' Humvee.

I'd be embarrassed if I owned movie Legends.
I bet that makes your tea boil.

I think you need to go back and check again your LOC collection because they aren't any more articulated than the movie Legends. I know, because I have them all.

Oh my my.... idiots now are we? Idiocy bubble you say?
....maybe the only idiot here is you, but I won't call you one because that would be disrespectful. But I will call you ignorant. Sorry on getting back to you so late, I haven't read through this thread in a while. But please, if you would, read my post. I never bashed on your legends, nor did I compare them to the quality of current happy meal toys. read my post again, I did not bash on you legends, I encouraged Bumbled here to actually go and buy them. However, what I said, was that from the looks of the legends it would be great if they were cheaper. Wouldn't you want to buy a voyager for 15$.... it would be great if everything were cheaper, wouldn't it? If you have seen or own a "worlds smallest Transformer" then you would know the quality that these legends could've had. the worlds smallest Transformers sell for 5$, I'd even gladly pay 7$ for them. However, for something like a legend, which is the same size, good alt mode, no so good robot mode, and even worse paint job.... why should it be worth just as much as a worlds smallest Transformer?.... especially when the worlds smallest Transformer is imported and still runs for about the same price, but with an exceptional greater quality. Now read my post again, go on, read it. Where did I compare the legends to a Lilo and Stitch bobble head? I didn't compare a legend to happy meal toy, nor did I call it an inferior quality to that of a happy meal toy. I said it would be perfect if they came in a happy meal. That is all. Why? Because I agree with you that the Burger King kids meal toys were terrible and these would've been something actually good to take its place. Like you said, they are pocket TFs. They do have far greater engineering than that of a happy meal toy.... but, they are something small, which would've been a good idea to add as an addition to accompany a kids meal.... like an exclusive, in a way. I didn't say the legends sucked, I said if they would pick it up, put it in a baggy, and then put it in a kids meal it would be great. Oh and by the way, toys and Transformers aren't only for adults.... I'm pretty sure kids like TF toys too. I'm sorry to bust into your vegan organic lifestyle, but people actually do eat kids meals, even kids. Its part of their youth. It may not be the healthiest food, but kids do buy it, and they do love it, especially when they get a toy. Heck, I'm pretty sure you bought one, right? I mean, you know so much about the BB kids meal toy. But wouldn't you agree that that the toys could be better? It wouldn't hurt to include the legends in a happy meal toy, because of their small size it would be a perfect addition to one. Oh but wait, thats right I forgot. The legends are too small to be in a happy meal.... because they are small, kids can choke on them, therefore you guys would have to ban them. But, seriously, if you could quote me on where I gave an actual comparison of a legend to an actual happy meal toy it would be great. However, I do believe the only person here who gave an actual comparison between a legend to a BB happy meal toy was you.
But hey, sorry for the long post(or rant or whatever you want to call it). But please do read, not doing so would be wrong since you called me out, but wouldn't want to hear my side. I just wanted to get my point across.... and because you called me an idiot living in a idiot bubble. However, I will still stand by what I said, wouldn't it be perfect if the legends came in a happy meal?.... But hey, ignorance and idiocy go hand in hand, especially in the forums where people don't exactly read and analyze only to take things the wrong way and overreact. Stupid idiot.... but i wont call you one because that would be disrespectful. But hey, I guess you're allowed to run your mouth on here since I'll never see your face....

So thats the line that gets in the way... you still like the toys and play with them... maybe I have the more no play but look, I use them for design and stand-outs not for playing.Burn wrote:

I think the unleashed figures could be salvaged and with a slight retooling, be turned into something slightly useful...bookends.

I've had a few WSTF myself and honestly, they're not a great as you claim them to be. Some are pretty flimsy. I prefer the more robust Legends. Also, I don't recall ever paying one $5-7 like you're claiming.

ahem, i could say the same about legends; flimsy, bad paint job, not as good mold, etc. i prefer the wstf.... by the way, these are smaller than the legends but pose equal to better quality. shouldn't it be vice versa since legends are a bit bigger allowing for a bit more detail? however, its your choice, personal preference.... im just stating the facts, which ever this or that, it is clear that, size for size, wstf's were way more designed, made, a posses better quality than a legend. as for 5-7$, look on ebay and you'll find them. heres a few:
