Metalhawk is the Cybertron leader for the first part of Masterforce, until Ginrai takes up the mantle. He's also one of the handful of Japanese exclusive molds to the Masterforce line (along with, from memory, God Bomber, Overlord, Browning, and some new tooling on Ginrai, Grand Maximus, and Black Zarak.) His die-cast metal bits made him stand out, as these had largely been abandoned by the tail end of 1986.
Make that five histories now, what with his being introduced into American fiction in recent years. he's now got anime, manga, Wings Universe, IDW G1 and Classics. Not bad for Space Commander.KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:Such a great character! And what I like about him is the fact that he has two histories - Anime and manga.
Totally agree! He's one of my three favorite Masterforce Autobots/Cybertrons.KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:But, either way, he is one of those characters that I have high respect for because of who he is an what he stands for.

Marvel UK was just in a newsletter instead of a fictional appearance.KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Make that five histories now, what with his being introduced into American fiction in recent years. he's now got anime, manga, Wings Universe, IDW G1 and Classics. Seven, actually. There is also the Marvel UK version and Timelines. And that makes him "Hall of Fame" material in my book.
Chainclaw? I was only counting Masterforce franchise characters, not 1988 characters in general.KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Totally agree! He's one of my three favorite Masterforce Autobots/Cybertrons.
Nice! Two on the Cybertron front, as the other is Grand. And three overall because of Chainclaw.

So, still five, but still impressive for a guy like him.

My other two are Ginrai and Diver.
