I remember an old topic helping people out with the first few levels way back when before the wipe, cant find it.
Any tips on where to place stats? So far I'm just going speed/endurance/courage based on how I feel like it.
At level 1 where should I put my experience?

Think about what you want to do before you do it.
Find an alt mode that is a core, and constantly tweak it to see what you want to do. At level 1, there aren't going to be many things to round out. I would stick with speed and not focus so much on courage and endurance right now.

Well...as of right now the main focus is on speed/avoid. The majority of the exp goes into speed with random experience going into endurance/courage until I can reformat and upgrade speed again.
Any other suggestions? And thank you for providing feedback. Didn't realize how quiet these boards were.

yeah, the discussion board is the main one. If i were you, I would stay away from endurance this fast in the game. Its basically to withstand physical attacks like Ram, which aren't going to be too powerful at level one. But maybe it'll work out for ya if you go up towards the higher end fights. honestly. keep your bots in level zero until you're at least at fifty thousand, then decide whither or not you want to move up. At level zero, go three speed, one avoid. Most of your focus will be on dodging and your hit percentage. What goes through your speed still has a echance to trigger your Avoid, which will build up exp. And get some null rays if you get a chance. they're the best lvl 0 weapon. Shoot me a message if you need backup too. We've gotta stick together!!

I see. The level 1 characters that I do have have more than 50,000 experience. I was actually wondering what should I do by that point. So far a lot of them are at 5 to 6 speed with about 2 or 3 in avoid and one random other stat. Should I cap out speed at 6 or should I reformat every once in a while so that I can get to 7+ in speed?

By Primus, I take a hiatus and people start using the Iacon forum! Pardon me whilst I pick my faceplate up off the floor.
Anyway, for Level 1, Here's what is working for me. (EDIT: Highest rank bot is 44K) All my team is getting 4 speed. If they are a rammer, I dump two points into Strength and put the armor on them. If not, those two points go into Firepower, to feed Strafe (yes, I'm using it. So shoot me. Oh wait, you can'tm cause you have avoid
) and prep for those rather more fancier weapons. I equip them with a Null, since I grabbed them a long time ago, and the rest of it goes into Stats until Speed is the lowest cost option for upgrade. On the one hand, I can't say it's completely bultetproof. On the other, I through Trancross into a 1-11 mission and he came out with 7,000. (and being slagged...) On the next, he pulled out 2k.
Most of my bots are dual tactic, with avoid being the higher one. My advice, if you've got a second tactic, and can afford it, pump it. Even a 4k starter strafe isn't bad to take up to 2. That being said though, if it requires another stat to unlock it, ignore that tactic. It;s not worth the exp cost.

2 str
3Speed (working on that...)
2 avoid
3 ram
2ton of iron
He got a fair few attacks off here: http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... n_id=47903

2 str
3Speed (working on that...)
3 ram
1 strafe.
One note on Strafe. IF you can get it to fire in a 1-11 or a 1-3 mission, you may only get two rounds off, but two rounds is two hits instead of one. That can add up real fast if you hit someone of a much higher level. Like Tec Spec did here when he hit a level 8 and a level 4. You'll notice he also outscored the other level ones, though that may be a fluke.
