Priorty Communication to Blaster and Ultra Magnus:

Bridge

Blaster sent a simple acknowledgement, already in the process of trying to figure out where the frag the Dinobots had landed themselves. It didn’t take too long to find the shuttle’s internal logs - they were headed for a place called Mount Nyiragongo. Ah, frag.

Beyond just the recklessness of the Dinobots, this posed a serious threat. If the shuttle that the Dinobots took was found by the Decepticons, then it could be traced right back to them. Blaster immediately took to hijacking the shuttle’s controls remotely, trying to disable anything that would point towards the Trion. The comms officer was in serious mode right now.

Hangar

Blaster had spared no time since Ultra Magnus’s orders to deploy the strike team to Congo to reinforce the Dinobots. The shuttle had been prepared, the coordinates were set, and they were ready to go.

Warpath was locked and loaded for whatever this mission was. He looked to his comrades around him, and in a loud, ready voice, exclaimed, “We’re ‘boutta go kick some aft! Let’s roll!” He entered the shuttle as it prepared for take off.

Hangar

Having arrived back from Detroit a short time ago, Smokescreen and Bumblebee were still milling about in the hangar bay chit chatting and drinking some energon they had obtained from a nearby dispenser. It wasn't the high-grade stuff that could be found down in the mess hall, but it would do for a quick fill.

“Well, I have to say that mission was largely uneventful except for those pesky, overzealous humans,” the diversion expert mused as he took another sip of energon from his glass before casting a smile in the minibot's direction. "I can't believe they wanted to buy our company."

“I’m not sure you can call that uneventful, Smokey,” Bumblebee responded, finishing his drink. “That could’ve gone in a very violent direction if saner minds hadn’t prevailed.”

“But saner minds did prevail, Bee,” Smokescreen reminded him with a pat on the shoulder plate. “Everything was fine and the mission was successful. That’s what I meant by ‘uneventful’. Now, if things had gotten ugly with those humans then it would’ve been very eventful. Heh.”

“Yeah, well, not sure how we would’ve handled that since it was humans and not Decepticons,” the yellow scout wondered. “We don’t harm humans.”

“It didn’t come to that, Bee, and it wouldn’t have,” the rallybot began to say as a communique from Blaster then came across their comm lines. A strike team was being assembled and would soon depart. “Sounds like some action is brewing.”

“Sounds like it,” Bumblebee agreed. “You thinking of going?”

“Yeah,” Smokescreen replied, rubbing his chin guard. “I think I will. Better than being cooped up once again on this ship. Plus, my diversion tactics could come in handy down there if it’s the Cons causing trouble. How about you?”

Bumblebee thought for a moment before responding. “Not this time. I think I’ll head up to the bridge and see what Blaster needs me to do. You go have fun kicking ‘Con aft plates in.”

“You bet, Bee. See ya’ around!” Smokescreen said as Bumblebee waved and then exited the hangar bay.

The red and blue mech looked around and quickly found the shuttle at the far end of the hangar that would transport the strike team to the surface. There were already several mechs assembled around the entrance ramp with Warpath at the forefront raring to go.

Not wasting any more time, the diversionary expert finished his energon drink and then jogged over to the shuttle just in time to hear Warpath exclaim, “We’re ‘boutta go kick some aft! Let’s roll!” The crimson ‘bot then ascended the ramp into the shuttle.

Smokescreen followed, entering the shuttle and taking a seat next to Warpath. “Don’t mind if I join you guys, do you?” The rallybot grinned as he then checked and readied his shoulder-mounted launchers for whatever was to come. Thankfully, he didn’t have to fire them on the last mission so they were still fully loaded. “So, anybody know what this mission is about? I assume we have ‘Con trouble somewhere, right?”

Hangar

”Get right on board, Smokey!” Warpath’s voice was perhaps a little bit too loud and he clearly still hadn’t quite grasped the concept of an indoor voice yet, but it was what it was. “Seems like them Dinobots stirred up some slagpit down there! We’re gonna bust some ‘Cons for that!”

Overclock came up behind Smokescreen, quiet but ready for the mission. The shuttle’s doors closed as the hangar bay’s doors opened.

Bridge

Bumblebee strode onto the bridge and quickly found Blaster sitting at his station. The yellow minibot walked up to him and stood by his side. “Hey, Blaster. Bumblebee reporting for duty. I just got back from the Detroit mission and thought I’d come up here and give you a hand. I also have my report from the mission along with Smokescreen’s.” Bee handed a pair of datapads over to the communications expert. “Smokey’s joining the strike team with Warpath which is why he didn’t come and deliver his report in person. I’m sure Jazz and Overclock will send you their’s shortly if they haven’t already.”

Bumblebee paused for a moment, glancing around the room before he returned his attention to Blaster. “So, you need me to do anything here on the bridge, Blaster? I’m looking to help out in whatever way I can. I'll man one of the other stations if you like unless you need me somewhere else?”

Bridge

Blaster had so much going on at the same time. To the average mech, this level of multitasking would be painful and probably would have resulted in multiple wires being crossed in their internal circuits. But this was his job, it was what he excelled at, and he was making sure everything was going. From dispatching Red Alert’s strike force, to the Autotroopers, to participating in the meeting down at Autobot City, and so much more.

>>”Alright, thanks Sandstorm!”<< Blaster did as he was asked, and scrubbed any trace that could be left of the transmission. It was around that time that Bumblebee decided to show up at the bridge, ready to give his reports. “All good stuff, Bee, good to have you here! Feel free to help out over at the other console, I could use a bit of helping parsing all this data down.”

What happened next turned Blaster’s expression far more serious than it had ever been. The signal flashed on the screens for a brief moment. The frequency was meant for the long-range communique that Blaster had sent out, to call for reinforcements, but this was not an Autobot signature.

He knows.

Gravely, Blaster turned to the screen of the Autobot City meeting. >>”Commanders,”<< he said, pausing, >>”I’m afraid we’ve got something on our hands.”<< He showed the unknown (yet known) comms signal on screen. They would all know the meaning of this.

Bridge

“All good stuff, Bee, good to have you here! Feel free to help out over at the other console, I could use a bit of help parsing all this data down,” Blaster replied.

"Okay, I'll get right on it!" Bumblebee said with a hearty salute before taking a seat at a nearby console. The yellow minibot then quickly got to work on the data analysis that the communications expert needed help on. It wasn't long, though, before a new signal came across the various screens and Blaster's expression on his face plate became as serious as any mech had ever seen.

"What's wrong, Blaster?" Bumblebee asked, turning in his chair to face him. "Is it serious?"
